I just don’t get it! What the fuck is up with Trump being anti mask? Does he think if he downplays Covid that the economy will get better and he’ll win (“win”) re-election? He’s not even downplaying it, he’s actively slamming people for protecting themselves. Why’s he going this far? It’s like he wants to destabilize the USA. What does Vlad have on him??
The governors never should have bowed to pressure from Trump and his “suggestion” we open by Memorial Day weekend. Cases are going up people are getting sicker. And they’re uniformed. An unmasked customer at the BMV said “they say the virus does in the warm weather” Northeast Indiana, folks! I fear what the fall and winter will bring.
I put on a mask and literally within seconds, I am struggling to breathe.
I like hiking. For summer, I have a magnificently ugly hat that covers my face from the eyes down. It's for sun protection, but it works the same as a Covid mask. There's material covering my nose and mouth. While wearing it I routinely hike over steep rough ground at a fast pace, in the Australian summer sun.
The result is that I...breathe marginally faster than I do without the cover.
Yes, it traps a small amount of expired air. But expired air still has 16% oxygen, which is why CPR works. Yes it's not as comfortable as breathing without a mask, especially during exercise; it feels a little stuffy. But anyone who's literally struggling to breathe within seconds needs to see a doctor and would certainly be eligible for a medical exemption. They're also the very last people who should be risking Covid.

When I read "Gods of Data", Def Leppard's "Gods of War" popped into my head. Since I am already one of the coastal liberal elites, does wearing a mask make me more elite, smarter and morally superior than I was prior to obtaining these mask superpowers?
