The last bit reminds me of watching a doe cross the road. She got about halfway and paused. Then was joined by her yearling daughter. All the stopped traffic just watched as they crossed into a field of tall grass. Then the real fun began. Mom was tall enough to see where she was going. But every few steps, the yearling popped up for a look. One time I regretted not having a camera.
The cat that was just slightly smaller than those who moved in with us when I was a kid--he must have been part wild cat, though once he moved in he became such a loving cat, and very much like a dog. He was HUGE and pure muscle.
I have a lot of stuffed animals - it's a collection NOT an obsession. Anyway, one of them is a Serval that I got from the Hawk Creek Wildlife Center, here in Western New York, for being a member. I love him, and he's one that I keep out year 'round.
I was standing in the serval enclosure at a wild animal park in South Africa when one of them very deliberately turned his back on the humans and let go with a spray that could knock down a large child. He hit the woman standing next to me right in the midsection. She was drenched. The serval then casually jumped up into a tree and stretched out on a branch to get a good view of the results of his mayhem. I know cats and I'm pretty sure he was laughing at the woman.

In today’s fucked up beyond recognition world I am opting for “Spring Cleaning Therapy” instead of “Retail Therapy “. The objective for today is to clean out the kitchen cabinets. Empty every single one of them and clean, organize, recycle, and scale down. Do I need hundreds of plastic bowls with lids? Do I need every damned coffee cup that I’ve ever received as a gift? Is there a reason that there is a packet of McCormick spaghetti sauce seasoning with a best by date of 2017 in my cutlery drawer? Stay tuned for answers to these profound questions and more!
I have a jillion plastic containers - you can have them if you want them (seriously if the perpetully full recycle bin by my building is empty today - some will go) - but in the mean time I have to complete online education for work.
