Yes, the Mirror and the Light! I'm in the home stretch I think, somewhere around page 740. Are you enjoying it?

I've been going slow on it because I know what's going to happen to Cromwell, and I like Mantel's portrayal of him in this series. He's about to drag out Anne of Cleves. This does not end well.

I waited for this last installation for YEARS, so yeah, I was the first person to scoop it up when the library got a copy.

Yeah, I'm dragging it out for the same reason. He's such a brilliantly drawn character, and I love how he's haunted by his past even more as he gets older. It's masterful writing.

Trying to subtly sniff himself over his shoulder, without giving the game away.

Rick Santorum always struck me as having Resting Inquisition Torturer Face. Pinched and unhappy whenever he can't hear the shrieks of those he's damned to torment here on earth.

He’s always sounded to me like a low-energy Jerry Lewis, just to mention another guy who would have done the job better.

He thinks he's witty. After all, what could be funnier than joking about rawdogging models in the middle of talking about tens of thousands of dead Americans? Har har.

And calling him "Sir".

And Mr. President, Sir. Even his imaginary friends have to be obsequious boot-lickers.

I'd agree more but one of them employs me. Wouldn't have be sad to see Liz break them up though.

I've thought about a trip out to Charleston to see Mountain Stage live. Morgantown would be along the way. :)

I've done that several times and would highly recommend it. The Cultural Center Theater might be the best acoustic room I've ever been in. I'm somewhat hard of hearing, and that room is like a miracle for me. It's only about 500 seats, so there are no bad seats. You know the show's format too, really short sets, so you get everybody's best material, and you can usually find a new favorite band among the acts you've never heard of. And if you don't like an act, give it 20 minutes and someone else will be up there.

If you don't mind me asking, where would you be traveling from? Mountain Stage also does about two shows a year here at WVU, and of course it travels around some. Keep an eye on the schedule to find a show that suits you.
