I'd invite you to watch the 1 pm meeting, but it's on HB20 and that takes a lot of back story to understand. the meeting is going to be basically about TxDOT bitching that the commissioner now has to sign off on all contracts of $1 million or larger.
the chair is the only white Democrat from El Paso (they're all Dems) and he has his office set up like a movie theater lobby. it's weird. he also got into one of the more entertaining spats with Stickland last session.

Not THIS veteran. Nor many that I know. I think your polls may suggest that, but if you look a little deeper, I suspect the further most veterans gets from his discharge, the more they move away from that mindset. At least those who didn't enlist in the first place because they were attracted to the authoritarianism. Those are the people who cause problems, both in the military AND the police. They're also the loudest.
