The shot where they started at the bumper sticker saying "You can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead hands," then panning down to a hand on the ground gripping a gun, and a soldier pries it out of his grip? That was when I wrote the whole thing off.
I once googled "conservative hunting license" after seeing a liberal hunting license for sale as a novelty item (for entertainment purposes only). What did I find? News stories of local governmental entities enacting restrictions on hunting and fishing licenses. That's it.
Well, safely killing things. They may like to envision themselves as barbarian warriors, leaping into the pit with just a blade to slay the beast, but we know better.
I recently re-read "Stand On Zanzibar" after many decades. Even more amazing than I remembered. The way he brought that entire society to life by inserting the literary equivalent of social media blew me away realizing it was written in the late 60's.
The only thing he got glaringly wrong was the brand names for legal weed. Based out of San Francisco, the popular brand was Bay Gold. I recently had a rather potent sativa strain called Garlic Cookies.
My weed shop lets you pay at the point of sale with a debit card. It's treated like an ATM withdrawal. They round up to the nearest $5.00 and give you the change in cash.
And, yes, a $3.50 ATM fee tacked on, but that's a convenience factor. I'd pay the same fee when I stopped at the ATM for cash on my way to the dispensary.
I don't think the NRA's running the show anymore. More like the tail wagging the dog (as always). The Republican kowtowing to the Second Amendment seems to be directed at the Base and their desperately-needed votes. the NRA was already on the ropes from the financial fraud case in New York when Russia screwed the pooch by invading Ukraine. Vladdy laundered a lot of campaign money through them.
"They have spread to areas they are not native to in recent decades."
So have humans, the most destructive invasive species on the planet.
And coyotes moved into areas where humans killed all the wolves. So it's still the fault of humans, and more killing doesn't fix anything, Human population is already beyond the planet's capability to support.
So, the mighty NRA thinks they're going to take on the payment card industry? Good luck with that, NRA. This will be fun to watch. <grabs popcorn="">

What Is It The NRA Thinks We're Gonna Do With A National Gun Registry Anyway?
True. Thanks for pointing that out.
The NRA is sad weak poop. Fuck them.
But the only reason the NRA exists is to promote the sale of guns!

Please. They can't spell Interpol.
If it weren't for that damned Group W bench...
You mean Emperor Maximilian wasn't descended from Hercules?😢

Would this also apply to ammunition?
