Look at any issue of the New York Post or other MAGA rags. It is all about non-white criminals and other horror stories and anything about this reality is completely distorted (continued defamatory stories about the victims of ICE, etc), so they know their voters don't care what they actually do.
I donβt think it was a formal Congressional hearing. More like a forum organized by Democrats. Also, too, the Republicans are spineless cowards and they donβt give a fuck.
I was surprised at the same thing. It wouldnβt hurt to appear. Even if youβre a terrible person you can still say βI wanted to listen to them fairly β and then pivot to their talking points about βwe need to support our brave law enforcement.β
