Give him a medal for hitting his target. I hope it was a 5-ring?

The entire Republican plan: Don't get sick. If you do get sick, die quickly. (Yes, I know who said that and I don't care that it was Alan Grayson; it's still true.)

I'm signing up for my company's Aetna plan. I found out from the benefits help desk that I can afford the premium, which is based on how much we make, not how old we are.

I've found a Bloody Mary mix that's essentially gazpacho in a bottle.

Vodka Gazpacho. It's what's for breakfast.

But they're trying to give us the LIBERTY to die! We should thank them for caring so much about our FREEDOM!

I haven't hit full panic mode but reality is sinking in. Its always worked out in the past, they cancelled it once about 3 years ago because I moved?? but quickly reinstated it. That was before the election luckily.I may be able to get disability, already been turned down once when I was forced to apply after the original diagnosis. I'm 9 years older now and the affects of the cancer and all the treatments and meds have taken their toll.

Thanks for caring, I feel in my bones that things will work out.

"ABOUT two weeks." Fourteen days is worrisomely specific.

We need to just make it a fucking tax. Take or leave the coverage.

The cancer is barely an issue when I'm getting the meds. Years of sports and hard work and life hurt worse. Its sort of one big worry just creeping at me now.

I was taught not to stress by the docs, it makes it harder to heal and is a sickness all by itself. So I'm remaining calm and hoping that it all works out.

Thank you so much.

If there’s no mandate, the insurance pool shrinks, and the system collapses. That’s why the pubs are doing this.

HogeyeGrex🌻's avatar

There is a mandate. There is just no punishment for violating it. Many people still see it as something they must do. Frankly, I’m a little surprised it hasn’t spread through the rightosphere to boycott health insurance, but apparently, even they aren’t that stupid.

But that's the current position, which is not ideal but doesn't seen to failing either.

I just cannot see why the mandateless ACA would be unconstitutional.

So he's just really shitty at it? Seems off-brand for an all-powerful, all-knowing deity.
