Well, there was a column in the times recently about how bad was Biden’s performance in the debate. It’s really hard to not be snarky about it.

The NYT: "We have the best writers!"

The NYT's Writers: "We have to say it, this new AG is so calm and professional in hearings! Now in an unrelated paragraph, let's talk about one of the many times he got insecure and agitated."

I can't still believe the NYT was given a fucking Pulitzer a few weeks ago. If our group/societal standards for excellence in journalism have hit this nadir, well, we're in deeper shit than perhaps we even realize or can recognize. Frogs in ever-warming water, etc. I mean, was the Beobachter Volkischer editorial staff unavailable, or what? Rhetorical/historical allusion joke. Which isn't funny if it has to be explained, or at all, really.

Ta, Evan. Death White (yes, I know it's todt not todd) should not simply be disbarred. He's aiding and abetting a criminal enterprise, and should be indicted under RICO.

I'm so glad Evan Hurst is willing to read the New York Times on our behalf. I canceled my subscription almost 6 years ago, and I haven't regretted it one bit.

However, not having access to their constant stupidity, truckling, kow-towing, and general obeisance to Trump and his corrupt cronies in the most corrupt regime in the history of the United States, and probably the most corrupt regime in the entire world in the 21st century, has been difficult -- in that my scream-and-pull-out-my-hair response mechanism has gotten rusty. Evan keeps it on the verge of being alive, so thank you.

Back in the day we used to go to this same hotel bar for happy hour on Fridays. I would leave a

credit card with the barkeep. The custom was whoever had a good week had to buy a round.

As people with not a good week had to spend their money on children, food, rent, the boring

stuff. The CC was useful cause ya never knew who 'needed' a drink. If you get my drift.

Now my pharmacist has my credit card for the copays. Real boring stuff.

8 Democrats just voted with Rethugs to make teachers out LGBTQ kids, among other fascist BS. Primary the hateful eight! Or was it six?

Glenn doesn’t seem to understand that there’s no dipping your toe into the maga minion waters. Once you sell your soul to Pedo47, you’re in deep over your head and nothing short of total sycophancy is possible.

That’s how Todd Blanche has been acting ever since joining DOJ because he’s never stopped being Pedo47’s personal defense attorney. He may have a different title, but his duties are still the same: protect Pedo47 and persecute his enemies.

....they need to stop referring to Todd Blanche as tRUMP's former personal attorney....he needs to be called exactly what he was and still is....tRUMP's "Criminal defense Lawyer".....please ! ...everyone needs to get that straight.....

.....tRUMP has had tons of personal attorneys.....Todd Blanche was his criminal defense lawyer....which btw...lost both of the criminal cases against tRUMP....and the only reason that fat slob clown isn't in a jail cell....is because he was re-elected and had the DOJ drop all the criminal charges against him....along with that lowlife Aileen Cannon......

See? This is what I am talking about when Trump does so something egregious the Times times is forced to heave a great sigh and commit somerhing like journalism, even on its op -ed page. You can tell the hate it. You can feel the reluctance, the annoyance, coming off the page.

Back in the nineties, I had two nyt accounts with free access. All I read was the headers, Professor Paul Krugman and Maureen Brigid Dowd (I know, I know). Also 'this day in history, nyt stories from when it was a newspaper.

I remember one comment in the same nyt: 'The New York times is not factual'

Then, probably when the orange orc appeared in the political arena, I left to never come back again, not even for the headers. Now I've been seeing that it got worse and worse.

I read it voraciously in the 90s, as well, and ceased reading it for the same reasons.

Thrush, like far too many others, bends over backwards to try to make this administration far more normal looking than it really is. It's the "both sides" crap.

TODD HAS REASONS

"He can spot a camel"

"He knows the nuclear code is 'Woman Man Person Camera TV' or ' Person Man Woman TV Camera' or 'Camera TV Person TV Man'"

"He will release his Tax Returns"

"He is a vibrant 30-year old man"

"He is loyal, very, very loyal"

"Did I mention he can spot a camel?"
