I think right now, they get special exception because it works for both groups to team up. Police union and Republicans balance each other out with one the "brains" and the other the "brawn" in terms of acting out the control that Republicans crave.

It means a lot. It means New Yorkers need to demand union reform. It means that crime-fighting police are paying dues to an organization that stabbed them in the back by endorsing someone with Trump's record.

Act locally. Does your town have a police union? Does it need to be decertified?

Also it wouldn't hurt the New York Times to get some letters to the editor about why this is bad.

They think police are there to protect their property, that is why all the wingers were raving about "property damage".

1: AFL-CIO cancels ever police union chapter both nationally and at state level immediately. If any want to belong to organized unions then they have to prove they are not domestic terrorists. 2: All the so called good cops have to demand the firing/prosecution of the bad cops. Unless you get rid of the bad ones, all of you are bad, period.

We had a couple break-ins while we WERE home last year. Just junkies going through by SO's purse and making off with cash. Left expensive computers and cameras unmolested.

Did it freak us out? YES!

Did we take steps to secure our home better? YES!

But the only guns we have in the house, that we will EVER have in the house, are an old Nintendo Entertainment System "Zapper", and this wonderful device that shoots salt at insects:https://www.bugasalt.com/?g...
