I am going to go out on a limb here and state that I don't believe Harvey Weinstein thinks he did anything wrong. Because his victims came to him willingly (even if some were hesitant) and because they didn't fight him, yell, kick, scream or otherwise cry "rape," I am convinced that he thinks he just "talked them into it."

If not for him, Weinstein would still be raping women. He got a rapist off the street, so I'm going to stick with my original assessment.

Goodness, this is sad! As sad as reading Lord of the Rings and the destruction of Isengard (Saruman's stronghold). Saruman had betrayed everyone, gone into league with Sauron, launched a military assault against Rohan, and came within an ace of seizing the Ring of Power for himself. But then it all fell apart, and he had to face the people he had betrayed, the survivors of those he had slaughtered, and all his once grand plans were now sinking in a bubbling cauldron of the Wizard's Ring.

No wait, that wasn't sad at all. Though it was fiction, it was a satisfying example of the wicked reaping the just deserts of his treachery.

I’m listening to that podcast too and I do love Ronan Farrow. I do have to giggle every time he refers his “father” Woody Allen. Guess he’s doing it his way.

Why would his reporting be characterized as whining?

How nice that Harvey now understands what it's like to have his career derailed by forces beyond his control just like the women who saw their careers derailed for not going along with his assaults.

Unfortunately, Harvey doesn't even realize that he's experiencing the same thing he inflicted on numerous women for not putting out when he wanted it.

sniff, sniff someone was MEAN to me, that is the crux of his message accusing some network of not just taking his word on everything and pushing his poorly sourced (at the time) story ( not the Harvey one)

one good story does not make him a "hero"

Betcha he'd never been in a Target before he was charged. Or if he was it was 40 years ago.

They didn't so much "dodge a bullet" as much as "get tackled in the nick of time by SCOTUS Republicans". 🤢

I didn't find that article to be a "poor Harvey" thing at all.The statements about his shock, dismay, messed up life were certainly descriptive, but not sympathetic. The people interviewed and the descriptions of what a mess he seems to be sounded to me like"Well DUH!!!!!! Shit For Brains!!!!!!"

I think I had had coffee before reading it
