Oh, I hear ya, brother. I often despair. Hell, isn't that part of why we come here to Wonkette: to try to laugh through the horror of Modern America? But, somehow, and perhaps just through sheer denial, I'm optimistic that we'll muddle through somehow. It most certainly won't be pretty, and the end result might not be all we'd hoped, but probably better than we expect. (When we're living under Alaskan law and being sent to "proud American" reeducation camps, feel free to say, "I told ya so!")
