Nice time! What is our president Barack O'Sexytime up to on this lovely Friday, as the world reels from the UK's vote to leave the European Union? Oh, just gay stuff, because that's what he always does. Obama signed a proclamation designating the historic Stonewall Inn in New York as the first ever national monument dedicated to the struggle for LGBT equality. The proclamation said, "Hey Stonewall, you are so gay, and you are a national monument now." Afterward he signed it by shooting a laser beam of rainbow glitter out of his hand, the same way he signs everything.
Well, my 401K lost six percent of its value in one day, although I get to keep contributing to it and buying while the market's down, which is nice. If I were a retiree in Britain I'd be pretty unhappy right now.
I don't know any. Never have. I can read about what they say and do, but I'm pre-geezer (60) - so it's very likely I'll make it out of here with a clean record. Yay!!!
The racist labouring classes tend to be a bit more visible now but whether that is a real thing or whether it is an artifact of increased publicity is another matter.
This foundational group, the workers, is often incredibly racist (partly because of publicity) but often there seems to be little malice in it also you do get a strange blindness as outlined in the old joke.
Farm worker 1: That Omar, is 'e a Paki?Farm worker 2: Nah, 'e's not a Paki (Pakistani/packer) he's the mechanic 'ere to fix the tractor.
I'm bipolar as well. Freakin nightmare sometimes. The other day I was really manic, and when a window wouldn't open, i banged on it in a fury. Window shattered and I hadda go for stitches. This morning I was too depressed to get out of bed. It's infinitely frustrating, because in my core I am a rational human being. I'm just constantly betrayed by my brain chemistry.
None yet in my home town.....but my home town is Cleveland so yes, in a few weeks.
"...the desert's quiet and Cleveland's cold..."

"So the story ends, we're told."
No, no -- when Garrison wanted to announce that important had happened, he'd say "Well it's been quite a week in Lake Wobegon . . ."
Except that this week it's really true . . . because after next Saturday it's all over . . . . >sniff<
History repeats itself, the first time as tragedy, the second as farce.
