It's a video from the Houston Zoo, about their new seal pup. Zoos make videos letting people see their animals as they develop. So revealing the gender is a logical thing to do, as it's part of the pup's story.

I'd guess knowing there's a new female in the sea lion group is really important for survival of the group, and maybe that's the missing element for me (a context). But mostly, CUTE!!! and AWWWWW!!!!!
