It's a video from the Houston Zoo, about their new seal pup. Zoos make videos letting people see their animals as they develop. So revealing the gender is a logical thing to do, as it's part of the pup's story.
I know it's important, but it seemed the least important part of a video ALL ABOUT CUTENESS AND AWWWWS. I'd guess knowing there's a new female in the sea lion group is really important for survival of the group, and maybe that's the missing element for me (a context). But mostly, CUTE!!! and AWWWWW!!!!!
Well, it is bizarre and unusual. You just have to think like Trump to realize how normal it is. On second thought, I don't recommend thinking like him. It could do real damage.
