As in ANY situation, Unky Dumbo HAS to be in the spotlight / one of his “religions” .

Drove across agricultural, regressive eastern Washington state, eastern Oregon, and southwestern Idaho today. Much of it is a radio black hole, however, my years as a territory manager gave me an appreciation of deciphering locales by their local radio. Also, too what shit they were inhaling nationally. I can tell you it is HORRIFYING. And it blankets the airwaves. First the religious zealots who seem to think they're in some kind of freaking war. Then there's the political zealots, who will believe anything. I just listen to snippets with my mouth hanging open before changing the channel but I heard this today: Caller into the Dan Bongino show: "Hi Dan, I just love you, blah, blah ,blah. I wanted to ask you this question because nobody knows more about the Secret Service than you." Okay, stop right there. Why THE FUCK would a radio show host know more about the SS than anybody? Bueller? So, right away, I know we're dealing with DUMBER THAN FUCK. Bongino Host replies with how absolutely the SS were "in the know" about the assassination attempts. OF COURSE!!! Again, STOP. To what end would it be for the SS to know about and then stop an attempt on trump's life. WHAT IS OUR GOAL HERE?!

I'm just saying these people are way the fuck out there.

"That 2020, what a year!

Then, after losing the election in November, Trump was told over and over again by everyone from lawyers, governors, judges, secretaries of states and the fly in Mike Pence’s hair that he was a losing loser who lost the election, losingly. And while he could sue about it, he was just going to lose some more in court, plus get kicked out with a boot print on his ass while everyone laughed, because there was no evidence of fraud. Not in a box, not with a fox, not in a tree, so stop, do not hop on pop, etc."

I just don't know what to say. Brilliantly done, Marcie.

So when the inevitable guilty guilty guilty verdict comes back from Chutkhan (AFTER the election), and Team Turnip inevitably appeals, ASSUMING Trump loses, will SCOTUS still be willing to bail him out?

Expand full comment

Given the contradictions of logic the MAGA members of SCOTUS were will willing to barf into the history books in order to grant this shit bag such broad immunity in the first place, I'd say yes. They will greatly weaken the effect of a guilty verdict, it not overturn completely. During the appeal arguments, Alito literally said something to the effect of "if the President doesn't have immunity from criminal prosecution after his term, won't he be more motivated to break the law in order to stay in power?" Um no, you dumb fuck. The the case that is literally in front of you involves a man who CLAIMS HE HAD IMMUNITY and abused that hypothetical power to break the law in order to remain in power. You don't need a goddamn hypothetical. That was literally the question of that appeal.

Thanksgiving's going to be kind of weird at Mar-a-Lago this year.

I wonder if this is the year Jared and Ivanka go to his parents?

If a Federalist Society court can say, with a straight face, that we all expect boneless chicken to have bones in it, you can bet that the best of the best Federalists will ratfuck the living shit out of all Jack's dedicated but pointless efforts.

Funny how with Pense Trump was "merely acceptable" to the evangelists yet now without him he is the "OMG there's the fucking orange messiah". Gotta give credit to a dude who can bring on Stockholm Syndrome to an entire faith.

Stockholm Syndrome is the foundation of faith. All it takes is a little brain-massaging.

having Pence in Trump's proximity was a glaring reminder of their hypocrisy. Trump thought Pence would give him legitimacy with that group but it really just reminded them too much of god.

One thing that sticks out to me is just how much of a weird cravenly coward shit Pence actually is. It’s clear from November 13 he knew Trump demonstrably lost, his claims were bullshit, and there was no legal ground to do what he wanted to do.

He still had to be talked into saving America January 6th by J. Danforth.
