And the NYT, who may in fact think Rob Schneider is hilarious, given this line about last night's event; who ever thought Trump was 'funny' other than in the alternate meaning 'acting funny':

...Both Trump and former President Barack Obama forged bonds with their voters through their senses of humor. Biden is not as funny as his two predecessors...

Back in the early aughts, Mike Binder was the star and showrunner of an HBO series called The Mind of the Married Man. It was marketed as the male Sex and the City, about three mediocre twits struggling with the travails of being married to smokin' hot harpies.

Being attached to this Plague Laff-O-Rama is *totally* on brand for Mike Binder.

Twits for twats? Too too twee!

Yeah, kinda wtf Bobby Lee. One of those times when I wish my brother was still around so he could give me some inside dirt on that.

The Million Dollar Theater? What, was the Ambassador booked?

Too soon?

Schneider and I went to the same high school, many years apart. Too bad. I was the funny one, but he got the fame.

Will Schneider's estranged alcoholic daughter be there to curse her way through a ballad tribute to the candidate?

Is there such a thing as "comedy" anymore once you've said RFK Jr. is running for president?

All you need to know about Rob Schneider is that even Adam Sandler has gotten tired of carrying his no talent ass.

Sandler's just worn out from having to carry his own no-talent ass.

True. Which just shows how much lower Schneider is.

Just got my email invite!:

"Joining Cheryl Hines are stand-up comics Adam Carolla, Tim Dillon, Rob Schneider, Mike Binder, Bobby Lee, Tre Stewart, Dustin Ybarra and other surprise guests!

Tickets to this event at a downtown LA theater are available for $150, $1000, and $1500.

The after party will be the place to be. Mingle with the candidate, Cheryl Hines, the comics and special guests. Those tickets may be purchased for $1000 (after party and preferred seating) and $1500 (includes after party and reserved seating in the first few rows).

The after party will include a cool vibe, scrumptious bites, cocktails, and more!"

I like CYE very much, but David actually is still platforming both Hines and Garlin centerstage in this last season.

So that's the enabler of a Jew-hating conspiracy-mongering election ratfucker and someone killed off their own show for being repulsive to women.

Lookit, I understand that his premise is "I'm Larry David and I don't take orders from someone else's agenda" but not noticing the reality is pretty hard.

So maybe "national treasure " is, well, a bit effusive now...

Dry run to outdo tRumps inauguration.

'Also appearing at the event will be MadTV’s Bobby Lee, whom I had previously assumed was okay since he’s done so much stuff with Margaret Cho, and several other people I don’t know.'

Lee has joked about raping a child.

And to clarify, by 'joked,' I mean he backpedaled and claimed the story was a joke after the fact.

have they figured out the target audience before they booked the venue?

So I don’t get it! How does this event help him in his idiotic quest to be president? It doesn’t seem expensive enough to bring in cash for a fundraiser and it is a comedy set so unless he is going to give a speech (which seems odd for the venue)- I don’t get it

Let's see, Mike Binder wrote a nice nostalgia movie "Indian Summer" in the 90s, Rob Schneider is on record saying he doesn't mind tanking his glorious "career" for the benefit of keeping children un-vaxxed, Adam Carolla is still a misogynist...yikes!! Washington Examiner says Kennedy "tapped the celebrity circle" for "household names" in comedy...that's funnier than anything these people will say!! W.E. also reports that this fundraiser is to help Kennedy gain access to ballots: "he has obtained access to ballots in both Utah and New Hampshire and is “in progress” in 17 other states. In several other states, the window is open to qualify for the ballot, but a running mate is needed. Those states are listed as “pending vp announcement.” An additional 11 locations are not yet open to attempt ballot qualification." 🤔 Do I mistake the air of desperation? 9 months out, he's proud of 2 states, kinda working 17 IF he names a VP, and is waiting for 11 to open the door. My understanding is some states let Independent candidates pay $ in lieu of collecting signatures, but you'd better be busy right now for signatures and I imagine Kennedy doesn't have many boots on the ground. He's also only counting 30 states...last I looked there are 50 + DC. This all just vanity and bullshit!! 💩

Dunno. Sounds more like the “Night of the Long Knives” conducted with table knives and shrimp forks.
