Here might be a partial explantion of "why is abortion such a massive deal in America"

As this is a very uneducated country, certain things end up meaning more to stupid people, and that is very much reflected in the right's love and veneration of the 2nd amendement.

But hand in hand with that is their love of the 1st, which says..."Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."One problem here is that the believers do not understand this applies to people with NO religion also.

But look then at the first worlds of the Constituion..."We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

Nortice that "Creator" is capiltalised, and so this means that many of these people contend that the founders were specifiaclly referring to [the Christian] God. Of course this is only because in those days sometimes nouns were often capitalised for effect in documents. The Rest of the Constitution is Rife with Capitalised Words.

These days, you actaully see spme of these people capltalising words for no real reason, but I believe they think that doing do gives them more gravitas or somehow turns them sacred. Trump has done this and still does.

So given that, is it really any surprise that these extreme Christofascists think that their "Creator" is right there, hand in glove with right-wingers and their doctors who will deliver those Holy American Babies no matter what?
