This is exactly what the protectors of traditional American marriage warned us about. (Not traditional Biblical marriage, where old-timey dads in olden times sold their daughters to their rapists, because comeon, that's ridiculous.) You let one lady have some "rights" just because the Constitution says she should have them, and before you know it, all these other Americans start demanding rights too,and the Supreme Court is all, "Sure, why not, leave us alone," and then all of a sudden, EVERYBODY wants the same rights:
Legal pressure mounted across the United States on Tuesday for further expansion of marriage rights after the Supreme Court declined to uphold bans in five states, but left intact 20 others. [...]
Three same-sex couples in South Carolina say they plan to apply for marriage licenses on Wednesday and if denied will file lawsuits against the state.
South Carolina Equality plans to rally at the statehouse on Wednesday and march to Attorney General Alan Wilson's office, where they will present a petition demanding that the state stop defending its constitutional ban on gay marriage.
Circuit Court decisions that will affect nine other states are imminent. Separately, appeals in cases in which district court judges struck down bans in Texas, Louisiana and Florida are also pending.
The American Civil Liberties Union of Florida said it planned to file a motion on Tuesday asking a federal judge in north Florida to lift his stay on gay marriage.
It is madness! It's almost as if most of America is over that whole separate-but-unequal-because-ewwwwwww phase, and even some of the most conservative states are saying, "OK,fine, The Gays, have your rights." Sure, there are a few dead-ender wingnuts, plus Ted Cruz, but most of the rest of us are much over being SO SCARED OMG!!! about that gays destroying America thing because hey! Check it out! All these states have gay marriage, and we're still here!
Which sure makes things awkward for the Republican Party, which can't quite bring itself to stop pandering to those dead-enders just yet.
Appearing on MSNBC’s The Daily Rundown on Tuesday, Reince Priebus reiterated the GOP’s support for a constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman, before arguing that social conservatives like David Lane and Tony Perkins are “right to be concerned about what’s happened here in this country over the last couple of years.” Preibus also seemed to support Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) push to introduce a constitutional amendment prohibiting the federal government from changing state marriage laws.
It's kind of sad, really, to see poor spokesfool for the GOP Reince Priebus so disgracefully lowering himself like that. Especially when it was, like, just five minutes ago that he announced the newest rebranding plan in which the Republican Party will be the party of IDEAS! and will beforthings instead ofagainstthings, except not the gays, obviously, Republicans are still definitely against that.
We hate* to break it to you, Republican dead-enders, but marriage equality is coming. It's coming to your state. To your children's schools. To your mega malls. It is coming, even if it has to be crammed down your throat by radical leftwing liberal judicial activists like Justice Anthony Kennedy. It is coming, and there is nothing you can do about it.
*Just kidding, we do not hate it. We love it.

Sorry. Once you go back, you can't go black.\
BTW, I hear that when they contract Obola, most RWNJs commence to bleed from their earholes and think cavities.
So, is this going to be like an office Giving Tree, or do we actually get to pick out our mandatory gay spouses ourselves?
