The administration under Biden liked nukes. Especially, as they called them, "small nukes."

Wow, just wow. trump and Epstein's worlds were a sick, never ending round of destroying girls' and women's lives.

The FBI found the story credible but did nothing to stop trump. FBI knew about Epstein for years before his first conviction in Florida. And yet nothing was ever done. Nassar was abusing gymnasts for years after the first complaints. The FBI clearly does not think that sexual assault of women and girls is any big deal. Why bother? They might not even think these are crimes.

One of the first stories I read about Nassar was in the NYT some years ago (back when I had a sub). The article was about the court case. The reporter said, in the article, that the gymnasts testifying were "making spectacles of themselves." Yes indeed. If it is women complaining about sexual assault, they are not credible witnesses, they are making spectacles of themselves. Fucking A.

The right keeps asking why Biden didn't release the files. What I want to know is why no one did anything for years. Is what these creeps did not bother anyone in the FBI?

"forced to listen to Neil Diamond" -- So, in addition to raping young girls, Epstein and Trump tortured them!

Hello_who_dis's avatar

So, has anyone asked Michael Cohen about what he knows?

He worked with T from 2006 to 2018. Has he ever been asked to threaten an accuser?

WokeGrandma's avatar

Great question! I hope there's a reporter out there who has enough sense to talk to Cohen.

I am super glad (and this is true...can swear it before God) I can say this in my life.

I have never, nor even friends of friends of mine, EVER been someone who perpetuated a sexual assult (i would gouge out their eyes with my thumbs and not even shrug my shoulders)

Robs girlfriend was touched "inappropriately" by her step-dad. 4 of us showed up at the door with baseball bats. (well technically I had a hockey stick and Bob had a broken cue stick)

I never understood strip clubs or rape or 1 night stands or such. ½ the fun is when the lover wants you.

That is just me. Guess that doesn't make much sense to some people. But ass holes are out there. Thats why they make mace.

I'm sure that someone on down has posted about this but I just need to get it out. I just heard that an eighth US serviceperson has died in the Iran war. I hope someone starts yelling loudly and often: THESE PEOPLE DIED SO THAT TRUMP CAN MAKE MORE MONEY! THESE PEOPLE DIED SO THAT ATTENTION COULD BE TAKEN FROM TRUMP'S PEDOPHILE ACTS! (And yes, I am shouting.)

Hello Marion's avatar

One of the minor details that really sticks with me from this story and Will Bunch's piece this morning (https://www.inquirer.com/columnists/attytood/epstein-doj-investigations-deaths-ranch-jail-trump-accuser-20260310.html) is the Epstein Class' sliding scale for shaking people down. The girl's mother embezzled $20,000 to pay off Epstein. 20k. And one of the prison guards in question made a suspicious $5000 deposit (suspicious because she likely had never had that much cash in one place at one time in her whole life), from which it might be extrapolated that that was the dangled payoff that tipped her over the line to sure I'll commit a felony in return for more money than I have ever seen. These amounts are trifling to the 0.00001%, truly loose change under the driver's seat numbers for them. Epstein demanding the maximum he could reasonably expect that woman to come up with, when it wouldn't be enough for him to notice if he had it or not. And the blood price that may have ultimately been set for him? Even more miniscule. Nickel and diming to the end, from all of them.

I am in a MOOD.

Mad man with a shoe fetish. . . this story is just bizarre.

•---•---•---•---•---•---•---•---•---•---•---•---•---•---•---•---•---•---•

"Sitting behind the Resolute desk, Donald Trump fixed his gaze on JD Vance’s and Marco Rubio’s feet. “Marco, JD, you guys have s—y shoes,” said the US president, consulting a catalogue and asking their shoe size. Rubio said 11.5 and Vance 13. Trump leaned back in his chair and remarked: “You can tell a lot about a man by his shoe size.”"–https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/mar/10/trump-florsheim-shoes

"forced to listen to Neil Diamond"

My aunt and Ma made my Uncle Paul and I do that many times (they are huge fans) Great seats front row center BTW.

Next to The Jesus Lizard and Butthole Surfers, Neil Diamond put on the best show baconz ever seen.

But you blast it while committing sexual assault.... I dont think The Jazz Singer would appreciate that. Im positive he regrets doing this. Edit. But its a great song!!!

The best concert I ever saw, and I saw some big names when they were young and on fire, was John Hiatt and Lyle Lovett at an opera house. I barely know Lyle Lovett, but it was awesome.

Improvised explosive found at protests near Manhattan's Gracie Mansion, Mamdani's official residence, NYPD says

New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch says at least one suspicious device recovered during clashing protests outside Gracie Mansion, the official residence of Mayor Zohran Mamdani, was an improvised explosive.

Tisch told reporters during a Saturday evening news conference that an anti-Islam protest on Manhattan's Upper East Side was organized by people associated with Jake Lang, a pardoned Jan. 6 rioter and far-right influencer, and was called "Stop the Islamic Takeover of New York City/Stop New York City Public Muslim Prayer."

Tensions between the two groups began escalating, and at around 12:15 p.m., an individual from the initial protest used pepper spray against the counter-protesters, police said. Tisch said that suspect was later arrested.

Tisch said that shortly after 12:30 p.m., a counter-protester, identified as 18-year-old Emir Balat of Pennsylvania, lit and threw an ignited device toward the protesters. According to Tisch, witnesses saw flames and smoke as the device struck a barrier in a crosswalk, a few feet away from police officers. The device then extinguished itself.

In videos depicting the chaos, a man appears to yell "Allahu Akbar" just as Balat throws the device that Tisch described as "a jar wrapped in tape, importantly with nuts, bolts, and screws along with a hobby fuse." The videos were verified by the CBS News Confirmed Team. It is not clear from the videos who was shouting the words.

Balat and Nikk were taken into custody. According to law enforcement sources, investigators were looking to determine if at least one was inspired by ISIS extremist messaging.

"The NYPD Bomb Squad has conducted a preliminary analysis of a device that was ignited and deployed at a protest yesterday and has determined that it is not a hoax device or a smoke bomb. It is, in fact, an improvised explosive device that could have caused serious injury or death," Tisch said in a statement Sunday. "Further analysis will be conducted, including on a second device."

I saw that. It's horrifying, that we have people who view that as appropriate. It doesn't matter what you're protesting or counter-protesting, these were literal high schoolers who, reportedly, were inspired by extremist messaging. That's scary. :c

Now, now, he had some good songs. I was obsessed with "Cracklin' Rosie" and "Sweet Caroline" when I was 13. My mother and I would go out for pizza every Friday evening, and she would give me 25 cents for the juke box. I would always pick one or both of those songs, plus whatever 3rd song hit my fancy.

Needless to say as I got older my tastes improved, but still...they were good songs.

WokeGrandma's avatar

You need to attend a Red Sox game at Fenway Park in Boston. Per the Google bot:

"Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond is a signature, boisterous sing-along tradition played during Boston Red Sox home games at Fenway Park, specifically in the middle of the 8th inning, not the 7th-inning stretch. Initiated in 1997 and made a regular, post-7th inning staple in 2002, it serves to boost crowd energy during the home team’s late-game batting." I can personally attest to this.
