Penzey's puts together wonderful gift sets like one for baking containing stuff like good cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla sugar or a savory Indian or Italian collection. Prices are good and they offer many of their products in the little 1 oz jar so you don't buy too much of something you won't use that often. And you get the satisfaction of knowing that your hard-earned Ameros have gone to enrich a buncha commie pinko libtards. Thanks for reminding me to get my holiday order in soon. Also: Penzey's Now Curry is the best curry powder ever.

As a long time Penzey’s customer, I have followed and supported their beliefs for much longer than they have been widely publicized. Their unabashed support of their ideals is (so) admirable and uncommon in these times of division, cancellation, and straight up bullying. So I think it’s entirely worth supporting a company that fits your own values.

BUT - as others have noted, they have really great stuff! I started shipping with them because their spices are great, reasonably priced, and often times with minimal packaging (large volumes generally come in bags to refill the jars you already have). The stores are awesome - everything has open samples you can sniff (not sure what cardamom is? Give it a smell!), and there’s always something on sale/promotion. I don’t have a store convenient, but I get the emails and order online when I need to restock.

Thanks for the post!

I’m a long time Penzey’s customer and was bursting with pride to see our VP visiting their shop in Pittsburgh and comforting a woman.

- Harris and Penzeys, a marriage made in heaven

- Harris bought one of my favorite blends, the Trinidad (great on pork chops and avocado toast)

- Bill and co. are from Wisconsin where the Rs have TRIED ALL THEIR CRAP FIRST

- Talking Penzeys Spices on twitter was awesome

- I know it's standard black twitter stuff to call ignorant white people "unseasoned" but I think that really literally applies here!

I did not know that the Penzeys support the Wonkette! HAPPY NICE TIMES! WE LOVE YOU BILL AND PAM AND BECCA!

Great cat (and dog) pictures, and absolutely no spice blends for cooking and eating them.

LOVE US SOME PENZY’S! Buy it as gifts for ALL our right wing idiot relations AND our real friends! And we have had to expand from one spice rack in our kitchen to three!

I just got a Penzy’s coupon for 50% off spices that begin with N and C -- wow, I forgot how many spices I suddenly needed with those letters. Plus, of course, I had to spend a whole lot more money on other things because I LOVE THEM!

I love you for this. I go to the Penzeys here in the Lou (Saint) every time I get some spare cash. I’m well aware of my privilege living this close to one.

Our local Penzey's is closing. It's an under-performing store. Good ol' Bill P sent out an email and asked us what we thought! Mail order is too convenient, although I will miss just wandering around the store, sniffing those little sample jars.

That’s sad! The smells are my favorite part.

"A Boy and His Dog" has never been more topical.

After the Christo-fascists blow up the world, they can all live underground in supreme conformity, with no creativity or SPICEY foods. All because they were sold a simplistic fantasy from childhood about a magical man in the sky that preaches love so hard you should kill for him, and cums down a chimney with material goods... Wait, I might be conflating bullshit stories Evangelicals tell their children.

Anyway, they'll all be such cucks that they're sterile and they'll need to kidnap Don Johnson (teehee) from the surface to harvest his manly, manly seed.

Oy. Enough with these smooth-brained dolts.

Penzeys is the absolute best spice company!

I'm in favor of the liberal use of spices.

Tried to buy some spices at Penzeys.com just now, and their site is timing out big-time, could not finish registering a new account and checking out. Hope it's because they are so flooded with new customers buying stuff!!!!

Love, love, love their spices! Use them every day!! I got some great free stickers with my last order and have been placing them around my bright red community! 🙌

We have loved Penzeys for YEARS. Their spices and herbs are the best! And they were literally the first company to come straight out in 2016 and call Trump out for what he was. They have been walking the walk and talking the talk ever since. They truly stand up for righteousness. AND they have the best, freshest, most fragrant and flavorful spices, herbs, mixes, salt free mixes, and on and on. Very reasonably priced. ALWAYS with the special deals. Go forth and multiply your spice cabinet!!! "Puffer fish" indeed, how I love them so much.

OK, watched the video, smile-cried at the nerd girl and the message for her teacher, AND at her big nerd teacher-dad who looks like Joe Pera.

I got the newest Covid Vax the last week in August and last Saturday came down with Covid before it could fuĺly kick in. I made it almost five years. I am on Paxlovid and feel a bit shitty.

Thanks for reminding me it's covid-and-influenza time.

Last year I got an RSV shot too (which fortunately lasts a nice long time). I've probably already had it--it usually looks like a cold for grown ups-- but that virus put two of my grandchildren in the hospital when they were less than a year old (quite some time ago). I'm not taking a chance of spreading it to anyone else's grand babies.

Sorry to hear you didn't manage to keep dodging the bullet. From what I've observed Paxlovid isn't a great idea unless you're high risk, it seems to draw out the "I feel like shit" stage while making it slightly less awful.

I've had it twice as every time my youngest has flown home from overseas he's managed to bring it back due to airplanes and assholes getting on them while sick. Of course he's not going to present as infected until it's too late for me to avoid him for a week.

At 76 with type 2 diabetes I am considered high risk.

Hadn't gotten the booster yet, but I've been stuck 7 times...and I just got Covid for the first time. This one seems really highly infectous. I work in a family clinic and we've had half the staff out at times.
