We assumed we had seen the last of Josh Mandel, Boy Treasurer of Ohio, back in 2012 when he lost a Senate election to rumpled Shar-Pei Sherrod Brown. But apparently Mandel has been running for re-election for treasurer this year, against a Democratic state representative named Connie Pillich. For a guy who has consistently held a decent lead in the polls for the entire campaign, Mandel sure seems hard up for compliments to use in his ads.
Ohio Wingnuts love this guy, just because he is a punchable reprehensible toad. Unfortunately, I think it's a quality that is likely to go national in 2016. And he has the connections to make it happen (Lehman Brothers and Faux News). Good news, he can only be horrible to Ohio for another four years. Bad news, he will at the very least go back to punditing and worse case, run for national office next. This guy is the next Darth Cheney, GWB on steroids. No matter how awful he is to people, how inept his record, the better he does at the polls and the more old dead white guys with money love him.
