Several women said so, he declined to deny it, and then he promptly quit. C'mon. https://talkingpointsmemo.c...

You are not helping. Just like the morons and evil shits who believed the lies the Rs told about HRC, your faux concern over Franken is just bullshit. Franken was an adult, he decided to step down. Move the fuck on. If you have some bizarre personal reason for not liking Gillibrand, who is the MAIN WOMAN to fight against sexism, fine. Go get therapy.

Wasn't there a guy, an Iraq war vet who called George Bush a "son of a bitch" running for Sherrod's seat way back when? I think his name was Paul. He wasn't good enough for Dems, so they refused to fund him, and Sherrod was ushered in. I hate it when the DCCC picks and chooses which Dem we'll be allowed to vote for. Trevor Noah did a segment on that idiocy last week, so I know I'm not the only one who thinks it's shit.

Nah, that would take guts and might be construed as mean. Can't have that!

I'd like to see Democrats attacked by Republicans with smear campaigns respond with, "As we know, Republicans are all about projection, so it's highly likely (my opponent) has a history of (whatever mud they are slinging)."

No shit about being screamed at. We're purity ponies if we don't reflexively bow down to any Dem that's put in front of us. And if we don't shut up about someone who was #me too'd out of politics on unsubstantiated rumours.

I hope he runs for President in 2020. I would vote for him in a heartbeat over any candidate being put forth or speculated about right now.

Franken was rat-fucked by "Democrats"(certain female presidential hopefuls working for repubs, that is.). Add in Kamala's BS re: Medical Marijuana and other scandals, and I wouldn't vote for her if she was the Dem candidate. I'm sorry, that's not being a purity pony, that's called not voting for an opportunistic scumbag. We already have one of those in the whitehouse now.

it says a lot that even Ken Starr wouldn't use her to get to Clinton.

the GOP weaponized womanizing after JFK and Bobbie diddled Marilyn Monroe. They glossed over Ronnie Raygun's divorce and Hollywood infidelities and then made a literal federal case out of Clinton's blow jobs. The GOP has co-opted every civil rights, social cause, gay rights, and women's issue ever. They always find the crack and drive whatever wedge they have handy into it. they are water and always find the lowest point to settle to. I have no problem with women speaking out and hope that #MeToo encourages them to continue to confront their abusers. But I was livid that Kamal Harris wasn't a champion for letting the Franken accusations go to a full hearing. She especially as a former prosecutor should have been leading the charge for full disclosure instead of cover-up via resignation. Now Franken will forever be tainted. And the GOP will try it over and over again. I'm sick of the GOP politicizing our private sex lives - but that is a weapon that resonates with their base. As soon as they have put women back into the kitchen, barefoot and pregnant, they will weaponize homosexuality again - and then it will be someone else's bedroom activities. It can't be avoided. But I would like the Democratic Party leaders to finally quit behaving as though having a public conversation about sex is going to kill them in the polls. I'm glad Sherrod's ex-wife was willing to do the ad, but even more pleased the party went forward with it and endorsed it. This is a good example of how you fight back. I hope they do more of this and less of the "obfuscate and hope it goes away in the next news cycle".

The Columbus Dogpatch has been drifting into centrists land lately. Not sure exactly why. Could be they aren't looking forward to seeing the entire banking and insurance industry get tanked by another A Idiot in the WH. Lots of fortune 500 companies reside in the test market city for the universe. Could be they are prepping for Kasucks inevitable 2020 challenge against Dolt45. They are totally in the bag for the usual GOP neocons and Renacci has been forced to pander to rural deplorables in the Pennsyltucky parts of the state. In any case, Ohio may be ready to stagger out of their idiotic experiment with fringe libertarian causes and finally re-enter the more moderate political field again. But the OH GOP, NRA, and Christian Taliban mega churches in the state may also decide that being the Alabama of the rust belt is within their grasp - so hey, why not go full metal Nazi? Ya never know
