I no longer refer to these people as "right wing" or "conservative" because they aren't, and that lends some semblance of validity or credibility to their actions. It implies that they are following some recognized political ideology with a rational defensible position. I call them what they are, which is just plain old fashioned "bats in the belfry", not playing with a full deck CRAZY,
Unbeknownst to Regressives, librarians have access to things called "books". In some of these "books" there are lists of words that can be used as a substitute for OTHER words. It rocks. Okay, I won't say the dreaded illegal A-word. I'll just say pregnancy termination. Medically induced miscarriage. Fetus-B-Gone.
Which brings me to a serious question. In light of members of the Republican party being on record as wanting to outlaw all forms of contraception including condoms, why is the pharmaceutical industry funding the campaigns of people that want to cut out a large portion of their business? And if they do manage to outlaw all forms of birth control including condoms does that mean they'll be having unprotected sex at their Coke fueled orgies? Can we start calling them the chlamydia caucus now?
Only the librarians are prohibited from saying the word or helping find info. Saying the word or seeking info is still ok for civilians, apparently. Like prostitution stings.
Staff should not offer opinions about this or any other law. Librarians are neutral officers of the government. They should definitely help people find information about abortion, though.

I’m just curious how all these republicans are going to get their daughters and mistresses out of a spot of “delicate condition” trouble. Because it goes without saying that rape, incest and medical necessity will continue to mandate abortions for people, liberal or conservative. But conservatives will continue to find themselves in situations where starting a beautiful new life is downright problematic, and they will act on it. Be careful what you wish for, life-lovers.
