I'd be willing to give up my right to vote if all the idiots around me couldn't vote. The country would have been so much better without us. We're the reason the country can't have nice things.

Charleston is the tiny blue dot in a sea of red. It's weird, too, because ALL of my god damned neighbors are raging Republicans/Christians/conspiracy theorists. I feel like I've been cheated!

And y'all flipped OKC! An island of blue in a sea of red, but it's a start!

Massachusetts awaits you. The Berkshires beckon. Come be among your people.

I would not have gone to ANY OTHER CITY.

OKC is an oasis indeed. We have one of the oldest pride parades in the nation, a diverse population, and nobody has to stand in line for anything. Add medical marijuana and fairly low crime and it's not a bad place to live at all.

My brother and sis-in-law live there. :-)

God, I would give anything to be around normal people again. One of my friends, who lived in my neighborhood, moved back to Northern California. She said she was tired of the humidity, and the stupidity. One of the last things she said to me was "I'm proudly a Democrat." Amen, sister.

OKC is just Tulsa with much more driving between the cool bits.

Ramen.

I'm sorry you have to deal with that day in and day out. The prideful, willful ignorance wears me out after about a week down there.

Damn it's beautiful and the food is superb but some of the crackers can ruin the occasion, whatever it may be. And it's REALLY difficult to bite my Yankee Irish smart ass tongue, hard as that is to believe.

Lulz, I've got the same problem. It's soooooo hard for me to not say "JFC, how can you be this god damned stupid?" I have to listen to things like "all the scientists are lying about global warming!" Sure, it's easy to get 98% of all climate scientists to lie about their profession. I asked one guy once "why do you think they're all lying?" He said "it's because the government gives them more money." Sure, and it's not like Exxon Mobil has anything to gain when they tell you climate change is a Chinese hoax. Don't believe your lying ears and eyes either, because around here, they're starting to tear houses down because they flood so often. We literally have a hurricane every year now. We used to have them every 30 or 40 years. We've had a "1000" year rain, on top of all of the hurricanes, but these dolts won't even believe their own eyes. Sigh...

How's Holly doing? Is she down in Georgia?

Way to go Oklahoma! You are OK! Now, could we get all the other states to follow this lead? I especially like the reentry fair idea.

I think not. The Mrs is as protective as this as she is our bairns (daughters). But get yourself a bottle of anything from Scotland with "Glen" on the label.

Did OKC also have a massive slaughter of all the black people where their entire neighborhood was burned down? I thought Tulsa was more special or did this happen in every OK city?

It's bittersweeet. Her daughter whom she hasn't seen in 2 years flew in from Switzerland with her 6 month old son, whom she's never seen. They are staying till Saturday. So that's good.

Losing ANOTHER family member is hitting them all hard.
