I wish I could work up a head of sympathy for either Deripaska or Mnuchin, but I don't see it happening real soon. What I mostly regret-- other than Mnuchin's being in government at all-- is that these two guys are taking up courtroom time that could be used by people with real problems.
Poor Steve "Boris" Mnuchin. This is going to reflect on his job performance appraisal from the Kremlin, and his wife, Louise "Natasha" ain't gonna be happy either.
I'd remove sanctions if Russia stayed the hell out of the 2020 election. (IIRC Putin tried to make that deal with Trump, but for some mysterious reason Trump wasn't interested.)
I'm very worried about all the pro-Trump meddling headed our way. We are a dumb and easily influenced nation that for a similarly mysterious reason hasn't done much to protect our elections.
I would like to sue Minuchin both for being annoying and for goofily obsequiously kowtowing to Trump. I can see why Deripaska singled him out... he is that awful.

Much as I hate Trump, I can't see that reluctance to enter a handshake "bargain" with Putin is necessarily wrongheaded.
