I agree but many, many, many people love to waste their money on getting coffee or stuff like coffee on their way to work or during work etc.....And then they complain they have NO money.
I worked about an hour from my house and would take a cup of coffee with me on the way to work to drink during the drive. When I was by my work exit, I would stop at a gas station and if I brought my own cup (which I always did)....I could get a fresh cup of coffee for something like 25cents.
I remember all the working guys standing in line with me getting all kinds of breakfast stuff, coffee, and also all kinds of snacks.....their bills were like $20 at check out. I think Americans are either too dumb or too lazy to pour a cup of coffee as you are going out the door and throw some snacks from home in a bag or a cooler.
Have no problem with anyone buying anything they want. I am not picky about my coffee so I make my own at home and take a cup with me in the morning. To each their own with what they choose to spend their money on.
As a former barista - all of the drinks with the exception of straight coffee or straight espresso lattes are over the top sweet. Pair a drink with a pastry - diabetic upset.
How about because they bought and destroyed Seattle's Best Coffee, who actually brewed good tasting coffee without your having to know the secret handshake to get it?
Oh, also because they make life miserable for their lowest level employees and subvert their efforts to get themselves some power.
LOL, yeah, that was a necessary comment. Thanks for taking the time to be an asshole, though!
I'll make time for you.
Didn't think I needed a snarkmark for that.
JBM hasn't been worth its price since the mid '70's. Only good thing about it is the barrels they ship it in.
I suspect that the "puritans" were just Schultz.

And people complain how "broke" they are...ha

That's so true and yet, in the end, they are sitting in their cars for longer than it would take to park, get coffee, get back into car. Weird.
I've read it! It's really good and depressingly still very relevant.
NPR=Nice Polite Republicans.
Starbucks sued a one cart coffee seller in Bangkok, too, because they thought his name sounded too much like Starbucks.
Fascists behind both.

Yeah, any "blended beverage" is a milkshake with a different name
See, easy peasy
