In what would, in a sane nation, be a national outrage, a responsible lover of the Second Amendment murdered his two little boys, aged three and four, before turning the gun on himself and not quite managing to commit suicide. In a sane nation, there might also be something shocking about this being the second time
Jesus would guide his hand. Seriously, that's what these a-holes believe. One even told me that he could shoot the bad guy's bullets out of the air...because, jeebus, donchaknow.
Was there any discussion of how to get the guns away from the criminals? The vast majority of gun related incidents involve the use of illegally purchased weapons.
Well, I wonder why he didn't go the horrific, painful route of stabbing or bludgeoning them to death, then? All manners of death being of equal ease, I mean. Why would he waste two bullets when it's just as easy to stab and bludgeon your children to death? I guess we'll never know.
Drunk & angry guy with a gun.... drunk &angry guy in a car, drunk & angry guy with a tire iron, drunk & angry guy with a knife, drunk & angry guy with a stick; notice a COMMON element? Why blame & go after the tool this "murderous idiot " used? By the language of the article he's a murderer! The comments & article make it sound like this is happening all the time and getting worse-FALSE! This hardly ever happens compared to drunk driving accidents resulting in death! No goes after cars & and driving is not a constitutionally protected right! Look at facts! Australia banned all guns in 98- violent crime is through the roof, our violent crime rate has been steadily falling. Why blame a object that can't do anything by itself?
Smh, you guys always want to blame the gun. What about the guy who stabbed his two children and himself in his car? You're ok with someone murdering their family as long as it doesn't involve a firearm? How stupid do people have to be not to realize humans have been finding ways to brutalize each other long before the invention of gun powder. Blaming violence on guns isn't common sense. Guns only kill people if the person holding it already intends harm. Just like McDonald's only makes your kids fat if your stupid enough to buy it for them constantly. Blame the people doing the crime, not the tool they misused to do it.
Really? No purpose? How bout defending your family fom another man who isn't as law abiding as yourself with a gun? Somebody breaks into your house holding a hand gun you want to defend your wife and children with a baseball bat or a shotgun? Cuz I promise you the criminal didn't turn in his gun when you decided us law abiding citizens should all turn ours in. Chicago. Strictest gun laws in the country. Carry a pocket full of cash at night and see how many of the muggers you run into are gun free...
If he can't kill himself at that range, how the hell was he thinking he'd be able to kill an intruder?
Please review the Rules. Or for that matter, read the full article. We don't wish death on people -- no, not even scummy murderers.

And fetuses, so they can protect themselves from abortion.
Yet another responsible gun owner -- right up until the instant he wasn't one any more.
Gun is not the issue, he could have stabbed or simply punched those boys to death.
Was there any discussion of how to get the guns away from the criminals? The vast majority of gun related incidents involve the use of illegally purchased weapons.
So you're saying he would have had no other way to kill them had he not possessed guns? You're saying the guns seduced him to do it?

Very true. And if he breaks into my house with his gun to hurt my kids I'm not gonna be standing there with a nine iron and a hole in my head.
Would you feel any better about the dead kids if he chose another instrument? I wouldn't. Blame the man not the tool.
Yeah that's why why the real responsible gun owners go to the range and practice.... * derp*
