Same here. We could have significantly delayed the effects of the climate crisis, and been halfway to making the changes we need, e.g.All new cars electric. All new power plants green.Zoning to reduce flood damage.USA leading green tech development.

Etc. Etc.

Might be cheaper just to buy some Republican legislators. Most wouldn't hesitate to sell out the GOP for sufficient ...incentives.

OTOH, your way would be honest.

OTGH, they could re-jerrymander faster than ten thousand Democratic families could move.

Lemme guess, welcome to my Oblivion List.

May your life and your afterlife be blessed, Mr. Barke. I do not expect that we will communicate again.

I presumed to block him. The "Block" function is marvelous.

How long will the Repubs be willing to live outside of their districts, away from their homes?

As far as I'm concerned. Interesting how throughout the day many peeps on legal twitter are saying that this is the worst SCOTUS decision since that one...

Learned helplessness is real.

“...we also need to stop Democrats, or people hijacking the Democratic Party, from their attempts to split the party.”

Something about a scorpion stinging a frog halfway across a river comes to mind.

Yup, Florence,OR here. Our Senator Roblan, is one of the Dems who will vote against the climate bill. I am blown away 'cause he sold out for a lousy $1000, in Koch money.

Is there time left before the (non-)vote. Could we crowd fund $1001 for him to flip him?

It was remanded back to the agency, as the agency's argued reason for citizenship question failed the reasoned action test. They cited Stanchich! lol. lol. LOL.However, I really don't see there being enough time for the agency to come up with another reason for the citizenship question, that passes the reasoned action test (assuming they continue to refer to Stanchich), wins, and then print the census questionnaires before the deadline.

As I recall, in Genesis where God gives Adam dominion over the Earth, they take that very seriously.

But the GOP is not in charge in this state, and they’re not in charge of the House.

Yeah, this is a dishonest, stupid, partisan decision. But Roberts shot his party in the head and was too dumb to realize what he’d done and now it’s too late.

These people have declared total war on honesty and decency. They lie. They fight dirty. They pack filthy, hungry children into cages by the dozen.

If Dems bring an ethics textbook to the fight, America loses. Period. Full stop.

Nope...this is the process. Many step up, some get weeded out early, some late, but all of them contribute ideas to the discussion. The most important thing is don’t let your feelers get hurt if your boy or girl don’t survive the sausage-making! Vote anyway, for maybe not your first choice, but “100% better than the alternative” is an acceptable standard. Period.
