i think probably a bit of both, no? she likely had issues (bi polar / postpartum depression, whatever...) but for sure wasn&#039;t helped by being a pawn in the hapsburg game of musical chair state snatching. or being married to a handsome philandering frenchman (does that ever work out well?). or being confined to a convent by her father and then son for 46 years.

I think it was TP explaining how they&#039;re excited to see what it&#039;s like because it&#039;s not going to be just another exercise in serial storytelling, you can basically watch in whatever order you feel like... which is something scheduled TV can&#039;t really deal with. Plus the episodes are going to be however long the writers wanted them to be, rather than however long the timeslot said they had to be.
The episode &quot;focuses around a character&quot; idea is of course not entirely new, viewers of <em>In Treatment</em> will find it familiar.
