Did he say that? He also said the reason poor people protest is because they're jealous of the nice things rich people have ( car elevators). He also said the cure for the foreclosure crisis was to let house prices hit rockbottom, foreclose all the properties-- he was unconcerned about the malfeasance and injustices involved-- then get investors involved, and new tenants! He's a ghastly person. And tho he thinks he's gained the right to play fast and loose with lives of the poor by taking daring entrepreneurial risks, in fact when he left Bain Whatever to start Bain Capital, he had a letter from the head of Bain Whatever, guaranteeing his old job would be waiting for him if things didn't work out. And that's why he's a menace. A menace that people don't go nuts over, as at least they do with Trump.
There's a book all about Birmingham, by a woman who grew up there oblivious bc she was an upper middle class girl. Her professor told her to go home and find out. It's called Bring me Home, I think. She found out her father was in the Klan but everyone else was just well to do. She was mighty shocked by all that happened while she was growing up in the 60's. So, the book was an expose. She thought her older relatives in the country clubs would be so angry at her-- the book was a huge indictment. But no. Her uncle-- he wasn't upset at all. He just corrected her saying, "No dear, the Lions Club RAN Birmingham, the Elks OWNED Birmingham." ????
Yes. He was an outlier in the family as I recall it. He was from a rich family but he sank down and I guess somehow, lived in a trailer and was a mystery to her. I think he overcame his genteel background to really act out his racism, because he just liked it so much!!!! The book is really something. Esp the way her professor said something about "Birmingham" and she said, "Whaddya mean?"
I keep forgetting about the Bowling Green massacre.

Is that true? Oh God.
It was terrified.

Finding out your father was in the Klan is a Rosemary's Baby type revelation.

Matt Bevin is into harvesting Strange Fruit.https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Aren't a lot of cameras and microphones in the bell business.
That would be the guy that no one listened to, right?
apparently God the abortionist does this to 1/3 of all first pregnancies. You'd think he'd have a better track record
(boo hoo, Matty XD)
Bevin says the quiet part out loud, that he and his party hate people (who don't like them) voting because that way they won't win.
yeah, like taxes are sexier than gambling so it's much easier to build a slick ad campaign for them/sn
"I love a man in a uniform!"
I figure anything that sounds benign coming from the Repugs has got to mean the very opposite, like "Right to Work."
