He was not carrying at the time. Does not mean he did not ditch or hide a weapon after discharging it.

PS I would think never coming under police scrutiny would be more innocent. Just guessin'.

Oh maaaan, I love "Jawn" and his whole family, from his badass partner Gisele to his kids to his dog, Levi.

I personally resent very much that I can't fly my nation's flag without being taken for a racist white supremacist Trump moron.

Then I guess it's up to Fetterman to give us some real answers, because as things stand, either he's a racist who assumes black joggers are criminals, or he's a color-blind gun nut who thinks joggers are criminals.

And no, "I was scared because of Sandy Hook" is not a good enough answer.

The progressive wing has a very nasty habit of turning a blind eye to racism in exchange for promises about M4A or free tuition or whatever. This is more of the same. Now maybe Fetterman isn't as terrible as I believe him to be -- and it's up to him to convince me that he's a changed man -- but the troubling thing is how ready people are to turn a blind eye to this whole whoopsie with a shot gun and an innocent black man. I'm repeating myself, but it remains true: if a Republican did anything like what Fetterman did, we'd never ever forget it.

When I first heard that someone was putting Donald Trump on a reality show, my immediate thought was "who the fuck would waste even thirty seconds of their life watching that ultramaroon?" Turns out I was in the minority. Sigh.

"people seem really defensive when it comes to Fetterman"

I think people want to say our side has a Thor or a Hulk who can just rampage through the Republicans. I get the appeal.

My opinions about the whole gun / jogger thing aside, our Senate doesn't apportion votes based on how much you can bench.

My daughter used to say "cool beans" about 30 years ago. I said it to her recently and got the incandescent daughter glare. Won't do that again,

How about, Sandy Hook, and the whole impoverished Mon Valley is sadly kinda dangerous. It's a deindustrialization/off-shoring thing.

Yeah, all I'm seeing from Fetterman is that he acknowledges that the jogger was innocent, not that he was fundamentally wrong to follow the jogger and accost him with a shotgun.

It's not stirring shit to demand some answers about this BTW. I'd like to see a list of Democrats in office who have chased down innocent civilians and pointed guns at them*, all on the suspicion that there was a crime somewhere that the civilian had just committed. I'm guessing it's a pretty short list.

*: Yes yes I know that Fetterman says he didn't point the shotgun at the jogger. Well since this is a planet where people never lie about indefensible things they did, I guess Fetterman must not have pointed the gun at him.
