"Now THIS is a good pitch. You're sitting down, right? Okay. Here it is. Are you ready? Ready. Okay. Picture it. A remake of "Cat People' using twin black panther kittens. It'll have a 'Dead Ringers' quality AND be kid-friendly. Whaddya think, hunh? Is this genius or what? Wait! Where are you going?"

Adorable baby murder kittens.

I'm recopying my comment that I posted on your Substack, Martini:

The twins are adorbs! Wakanda Forever (tips hat to the late Chadwick Boseman). Every time I go through my streaming channels I'll stop on a favorite movie and pick it up where it is. On Saturday it was "Marshall" with the late, great Chadwick Boseman. Colorectal cancer cheated us of having Mr. Boseman be able to continue to portray Thurgood Marshall when he argued against segregation in the Brown v. Board of Education, Topeka Kansas cases before the Supreme Court in 1954 and when Mr. Marshall became the first African-American supreme court justice. Cancer effing sucks.

That’s fun, pulling a strip of paper in front of cats… more fun with packing tape.

In terms of the midterms which Democrats are likely to win- centrists or progressives? My money is on the progressives.

"Who wins 2026 Democratic primaries? A related variable is who becomes the face of the Democratic Party this year. In several key primaries, establishment Democrats are facing fiery populists. Moderate, often business-friendly candidates fueled Democrats’ 2018 wave, but ticked-off anti-establishment types may capture the mood of this moment. Already the populists scored one major victory in Maine’s Senate primary with Graham Platner. Keep an eye on Senate primaries with similar dynamics in Iowa and Michigan, two key states for deciding control of the chamber.

Will Democrats opt for more outsiders or stick with conventional choices? Both options carry risks." (Bloomberg)

Todd Blanche and all of Trump’s other lawyers have to “show ID to eat at a restaurant” on account of drinking their lunches.

"and that you have to show ID to walk to a restaurant (you don’t)."

At my new MAHA inspired restaurant, Beef Tallow Buffet, you have to show ID, sign a waiver, and present a note from your doctor.

LOVE “All of Me.” I have been saying “back in bowl” for decades! Also, just look at Rudy! Sad!

This tabs roundup has the emotional arc of America itself: panther twins, Tori Amos, pirates, redistricting, secret camera weirdness, medical privacy raids, AI murder questions, and Trump doing tariff diplomacy like a drunk medieval landlord blessing Kentucky bourbon.

The black panthers were the correct opener. Start with joy before descending into the policy swamp where Todd Blanche thinks restaurants require voter ID and reality is being held together with duct tape, subpoenas, and haunted whiskey barrels.

I was just this weekend talking about how I doubted I'd ever go back to Las Vegas even with the Arts District and the Neon Boneyard because it's just such a depressing place now with high prices and no more living neon and no atomic tests rattling the blackout curtains and no billionaire recluses living in the penthouse of an old hotel and no Liberace Museum - and then along comes Carlotta Champagne and FLIPS MY MIND. That atomic explosion sculpture!

Do you think she'd invite us to a Wonkmeet at her place? I'd be there in a plastic heartbeat.

Not to make light of someone's medical condition but Roodles being in "critical but stable condition" and the fact Roodles is 81 and The Giant Orange Fucktater is 79 has given me pause to think this might be the beginning of Mom Nature doing her thing.

Waiting two years for Trump's departure is way too long, in that amount of time .he can destroy everything I love about my country.

It’s great news about Infowars, but I thought Jones had it delayed until the Texas Supremes made a ruling? Of course, he literally didn’t have the money to keep the lights on (bad news: what he’s got somehow left STILL hasn’t gone to the Sandy Hook families), so he shut it down after a fucking day of running Sandy Hook Disinfo (because the term “Evil Motherfucker” isn’t strong enough for this monster). Anyway, did something good happen and Infowars is FINALLY in the hands of the Just and Good?

They are technically renting the URL and IP, I believe.

With the rent being paid directly to the Families. This is part of the deal The Onion originally offered.

They are offering less for everything, but have also committed to long term rents to the debt holders (the families). And I believe the Families also said they are willing to forgive some amount of the debt if The Onion takes over.

They are owed multiple times more than the total value of Infowars so they have lots of room to maneuver.
