Starscream was smarter than Pence. Starscream (at least in most of the cartoons) was a dumb dumb yes man with some dumb plans. Pence does not meet the "with plans" criteria.

Also hey, I am a person with hospital experience. Most patients know by now if they're going home and then wait a bajillion hours to actually be released to go home.

I stand by my supposition that the country would be much more functional had the Confederates been deported the first time.
Donald Trump's grandfather was deported once he dodged the draft (so it's genetic). If they'd done what the United States had done with the Confederates & let them back in / let them stay, Donald Trump would be Bavaria's/Germany's problem and not ours.
