this is kinda OT but did anybody here fucking boehner yesterday? talking about how committed the republicans were to job creatin and growth as he tried to defend that stupid gender selection anti-abortion bill?
i involuntarily laughed out loud. then repeatedly banged my head against the counter.
I'm thinking of starting a business that caters to caucasians wishing* to experience minority status and ostracization firsthand.
We'd send you up to Toronto Ontario in the cheapest of airline class available. Then you'd get flown up to an extreme north Inuktitut village in Nunavut Canada, via the least comfortable, coldest, old crate of bush plane available. There you would experience extreme everything; having to fend for yourself essentially while you work hard to gain any trust or kinship with the village's inhabitants.
Only problem I'm having with the business model is that the Inuktitut are just such nice folks that they aren't quite keen on this whole ostracizing thing - but they'd do it for the laughs. Still in negotiations. The other option is of course some long lost tribal experience in the deep of Africa or perhaps South America - but the only problem I'm having with that is that it just seems such a shame to clutter up their lives with any outsiders. Hmmm.
* otherwise "unwilling" participants would be received with glee; as we would provide all the necessary duct tape and burlap sack hoods and just enough necessary sustenance during the flights up to make it all they dreamed.
Point taken - but DRC still leaves one too close, in my opinion, to civilization. Go take a peek at a map of Nunavut.
