That "you" is completely uncalled for. I do not accept it. As for the request to collectively think up a shorter term -- I thought it was reasonable, but you seem very vested in the status quo. Maybe you just can't think of something else. I'll admit I can't, but hey, maybe somebody will be creative enough to.
Erasure is a serious problem in the community as is inclusivity. There were long periods where Male Homosexuals, traditional Gay identifying people were actively hostile to even Lesbians and a long history of hostility to, and erasure of, Bisexual people. The absolute minimum acceptable is LGBT and LGBTQ is better. If you must have a word that is not an acronym, then Queer is probably acceptable and Queer and Trans is better. No-one is oblivious to how awkward that alphabet soup label is, but it is used for important historical reasons. People were, and are, killed for who they are and being erased or unidentified can be fatal.
I’m a gay man and I hate the word queer. It has always meant “odd in a wrong way” in my family, and I’ll never get over that. However I guess if we poll all the LGBT+ people and a majority picks “queer” I’ll grudgingly accept it.
LGBTQIA+ is like Latinx. Activists like it. Actual non-activist members of the affected community are indifferent or hate it, because it’s unpronounceable. (Latinx isn’t pronounceable following standard Spanish speech rules. I’ve heard Latine actually makes more grammatical sense in Spanish… but an academic didn’t come up with it so Latinx it is, for now.)
DeWine literally told them not to come
Fuck you, South Carolina, you bunch of treasonous motherfuckers who fired first on Fort Sumter.
The Republicans are trying to drag Pete B through the mud now to soil his reputation in case he runs for POTUS again.
Hooray! Nice times story. Ta, Dok.

Besides, "a graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Law School"? Obviously one of those over-educated elites.

Not all LGBTQ+ people like the word queer. I guess their thoughts on what they want to be called don’t matter though.
If the ERA was ratified, discrimination based on gender would be illegal
It has been getting longer. I remember when it was just 'gay/lesbian.'I'm old.
Many gay men still reject women as allies against discrimination .

Most schools don't teach US history post-WWII any more. More dumbing down of Americans.
Yep. I only use Queer after someone self identifies with it usually.
