I believe in responsible gun ownership.

Somebody gets hurt and the gun owner is responsible.

I'll take a shot at this one. Seriously - the gun nutz (when they don't completely ignore the first half of the 2nd Amendment) argue "well regulated" means everybody has a gun that works.

You don't know how much I wish I'd made that up. But I didn't...

Thus the old saying "You can't cram the oatmeal back into the barrel."

I wish this seemed surprising.

I think he's saying what the NRA <i>used to say</i>. But no more. Because, naturally the country wants unstable, paranoid nuts to walk around heavily armed. Because freedum.

Except for those three missing fingers.

One of the cool powers of the Congress (Art.1, Sec. 8) is "To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions.." So any time some self-styled militia sets itself up in opposition to the law, Congress can call them to active duty (since they claim to be a lawful militia) and, presumably, order them to suppress their own insurrection. More likely, it would simply suck them into a black hole of paradox. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Better idea would be to "Well Regulate" them by shipping them off to Parris Island for a few cycles of Motivation Platoon.

I'm about to "say a sooth" like the guy said in "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum."

Notice how my apostrophe came out right and not some weird code? And my quotation marks as quotation marks and not code? I have no idea what you're doing when you post, but if you use the little single and double quote key next to "Enter," you get actual punctuation, not ASCII codes. Lots of programs will insert curly quotes and apostrophes, resulting in those weird codes that make a lot of comments unreadable.

Being in charge is not the same as being responsible. See also: "Responsible" gun ownership.

Still upset that "Muscle Elegance" folded.

that even worked in the Superman Teevee show. You could shoot him all you want, but he would always duck when they threw the empty gun at him

Silly me, I thought you people were adults

and then they thought it would be a good idea to allow CCW in bars. Guns and alcohol, what could possibly go wrong?
