Caught the pilot episode of a show called "Doctor Odyssey". When the title character showed up, the scene was set up to show people reacting as if he was a miracle worker kind of guy and a real dreamboat. Joshua Jackson? Not a showstopper at all. Even the grizzled more mature Captain played by Don Johnson was more of a hunk.
When my now 46 year old niece was about 7 or 8 years old she came into the kitchen, after catching a bit of an old Cary Grant movie ... with wide eyes , asking "Who was that!"
