It's very strange how they come up with solutions in search of a problem.

The problem is that moderate Dems have been in a position of privilege for so long that when progressives finally get a little love, it is a threat to the moderates' perceived status*.

If that sounds familiar, it should.

--------*it's also a threat to their bank accounts, but that's beside the point

also, I'm not buying for a minute that Mr. Moderate himself (hello Crime Bill, anti-consumer bankruptcy legislation, etc.) is being overly cozy with progressives

College athletes don’t have that luxury like the pros do. They’re indentured servants, or whatever that other thing is when you work your ass off without getting paid.

The thing about moderates is that you don't really have to appease them much. Making some progress? Sensible, mild change? They're good.

The other thing about moderates is that they often can't stomach the bold changes that are sometimes needed.

Hello everyone, please sign my petition asking the MAGAs to move to #NewCalifornia located on the trash island in the Pacific so they can start their own anti-democracy, racist, anti-mask nation.

Let MAGAs apply for refugee status if they want America!

It stands to reason that if one was a moderate Democrat they’d be more likely to be on board with proposals from the Democratic Party in general, where a popular progressive firebrand might require a bit of hand holding to join the party without raising a fuss. Gosh! It’s almost like the Biden administration might actually know what they’re doing!

But keep on keeping on dctmz.

If I could ever impart any bit of political wisdom to anyone still confused: it would be to realize the words “moderate” “liberal” and “conservative” have no objectively defined meaning.

Biden is going big, and his polling is great, the people approve of his agenda. No complaining.

I never would have thought Joe Biden of all people would be the most economically progressive president since LBJ.

My pick with all future primary battles is “whoever has the best shot at winning”
