That was also the same glaring fallacy behind the whole "we have to fight them over there so we don't have to fight them here" thing, that I heard precisely no one on TV pointing out back in the early aughties. I mean, WTAF? You (not you you, I mean the talking bobble-heads what got us into this mess in the first place) mean to say that the bad guys don't know where America is? That they'd have to use rowboats to follow our ships back home or something? Or maybe they thought there was only one bad guy, and as long as we kept him pinned down in his bunker "over there," he couldn't sneak away to America and...

Fucking sigh. Teh stupid, it burns!

He wouldn't have looked like such a total loser if he had buttoned his f**king jacket once in a while. Totally incompetent, complete slob. Good grief.

If I recall, Pompeo's plan was to become a US Senator in Kansas.

Let's not forget that 9/11 happened on a Republican's watch: W- The Village Idiot Made Brilliant Compared To TFG. They had intel shit was going down and they ignored it. Or allowed it if you're in conspiracy theory camp. Either way the secret sashay away Bush and Co. gave to their Saudi Arabian oil buddies immediately afterwards, when the attack was funded by them and quite likely Pakistan, has never resulted in the consequences it should have. Pompadump is just the latest in a long line of conservative war hawks who talk bigly tough yet rarely-to-never deliver the goods (freedom from terrorists, democracy, human rights, justice, peace, that sort of thing) unless its pallets of cash to the military industrial complex that hired them. Evil Gilligan needs to saddle up the Pinochet Express Chopper [With Votes] and give Pumpholio & Kissmyassinger their free hour ocean tour. You know, like all their white supremacist friends are always joking about! Ha ha ha, ha ha ha ha, ha ha.

I remember when the MSM took up the cause of the Kurdish people and loudly and strongly denounced their mistreatment and abandonment at the (tiny) hands of TFG and Pompeous. Oh… wait.

Dude. The president has other advisors besides the gun jockeys. I'm sure he had a lot of information, which led him to the decision he made. And he was working hard to stop the American here from dying.

Wasn't Pompous-eo one of the assholes patting his buddies on the back after the Pat Tillman inquiry? Which they "won" by refusing to take responsibility for the friendly fire that killed him. The back-patting going on right in front of Pat's mom was positively disgusting.

And Dems never made a big deal of whose watch it was. We KNOW the righties would've. But instead the Dems did the Right Thing... for the moment, if not for the future of the U.S.

Everything Megan McArdle aspires to be, beyond her role as Koch transcription typist for David Brooks' drivel. Ignorance seems to be a prerequisite for neo-con Republicans.
