They don't speak up because Yeshua said not to. He said that they should demonstrate their faith by doing good, quietly, so that is what they do. (I know quite a number of them.)The poor guy never imagined that his teachings would be co-opted by the sorts of people he railed about so often.

We didn't have a YMCA, but we did have a lot of Xtian youth groups. We also had the infamous "The Old Un" adult movie theater, and it was 1 block from Main Street. My mother told me to always walk on the other side of the street when I walked down that block, but she wouldn't tell me why.
