Way to go, smart, measured policing Racist assholes went ahead and held a "Trump Free Speech Rally" Sunday after Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler failed to shut it down, because the First Amendment really is the law. Outnumbered about ten to one by counter-demonstrators, the racist shithead rally went forward with minimal trouble, thanks to
I texted my friend who retired to Portland about 7 years ago (and who lived there in the 1980s) about this weekend's festivities and she replied "Portland ain't Portlandia. Spread the word."
So are we, since we live in a one bedroom apartment. but own a house we can't live in, or complete the renovation on. Then there is the problem of the Police saying it is free speech to tell neighbors that I "make and traffic METH", I "break into houses and cars", and that I "am a sex offender". I've never been charged with a crime, and I do stand out here in Portland, given how white the people are. Free speech my ass, I now need bone grafts and implants if I want to chew on both sides of my mouth now.
Why would anybody do such an awful thing? The question is rhetorical.
And although it's not fair to put the burden on your shoulders, have you considered using your free speech rights to go meet these folks and introduce yourself? Actually, I would recommend that to anybody, but in this case, especially. Because you'll make the slanderer look like the asshole s/he is.
The person who caught me off guard while tying my boot at night didn't stick around and introduce them self. The slander is mostly coming for a couple people, one of which was posing as BDS Inspector, but who actually was fired for malfeasance of office years before. I've been told if he shows his face in the neighborhood, that he is dead, because of the harm he has caused. I do realize that I need to be careful on who I talk to, as you never really know who to trust, but this will end, after we find an attorney willing to make the case public. However you don't want to be public, before you have an attorney. So soon, I will deal with it, but for now, I'm not welcome at neighborhood meetings, and things like that.

I know that first hand.

Bikers for security? Seems I remember a Rolling Stones concert where that didn't work out so well.
He only thinks he is the Master of His Domain. He is not even the Master of His Own Brain.
As of 9:45 pm 3-1.
Take those odds now because after midnight the Vegas odds will be 10-1.

thank you for gasping. we are quite breath-taking this time of year.
Evil scumbag?
i largely agree. BUT!
it is heartening to see that cities like portland have liberal majorities, and that neo-nazis can be shown the door unequivocally.
we are a big tent, indeed, and we should be. they got the guns? we got the numbers.
violence and threats, however, are inappropriate. i think everyone opposing fascism should have a voice, but violence isn't the answer.
So do I.
Commendations to Doktor Zoom for "two hour hate." I hope everyone got the Orwell reference. Kudos!
I learned that by watching Vera Farmiga in Bates Motel. Had to look up Tigard and The Dalles.
I understand and did not want to offend.
