Jabba has probably only really felt successful when the Apprentice was on, and is trying to bring back his salad days. But given what lettuce is doing these days, it’s not going to work now either.

Dean Cain? Dean Cain?? Dean Cain??? How have I managed to fuck up my life so badly that I even know who Dean Cain is, let alone that he is not a “powerhouse” businessman?

Remember the old show The Millionaire, about the rich guy who used to give a cashier’s check for $1 million dollars to some anonymous worthy? Back in the 1970s, when $1 million was enough to buy a house and a Mercury Cougar, but not anal sex with Farah Fawcett? (How did Ryan O’Neal, a turd of a human being, ever get to be so lucky as to have two codependnt women like Farah and Tatum in his life?) If you had better things to do in that decade, like going to Studio 54 and doing cocaine in the bathroom with Bianca Jagger, or even going to Berlin and hanging out with Fassbinder and Bowie, you didn’t miss anything. But Trump and Stephen Miller, as the guy who delivers the checks, would be perfect for the format, except that the check wouldn’t clear the bank. (A cashier’s check that didn’t clear? Trust me, Alan Weisselberg and Michael Cohen would figure out a way to pull the rug out from under the poor but deserving worthy, who would learn An Important Lesson about money not buying happiness.) Trump could then go to Fantasy Island, which would look a lot like Moscow, and have his R Kelly Fantasy, with the Important Lesson that the FSB is filming you from a secret camera in the lighting fixture, as the Russian models pee pee on you.

Must See TV.

So Sea Org will be involved? This could really take off with the BDSM target audience. And a religious charity tax deduction, too. 100 Days of Sodom? (I’ve heard about it, never seen it, don’t want to, don’t want to know those who have. I bet Trump used to watch it with Stephen and Katie Miller, back when Trump wasn’t flatlining his EEG.)

Great

On top of his other stellar qualities

I've never even heard of two of the "celebrities" and I've just heard bad things about the other two.

Two years ago, if you had predicted the corruption, the incompetence, the mendacity this administration would produce, even the most hardcore Democrats would have dismissed you as a crank.

Joe Biden did. He may have been old with a stutter, but he and Major and Commander and Jill were on the ball.

They *did*, actually

Some of us predicted the attempted draining of the U.S. Treasury right around the time Jared Kushner was being denied his FIRST security clearance by the intelligence community (that Donald proceeded to override)

🙄🙄🙄😒😒😖

Wait a minute. Is this SBA tax dollars that would normally go to people actually trying to start businesses through the SBA loan program?

I think that's a more than reasonable question and you should keep asking it till you get an answer

Nothing says “we take small business seriously” like putting Grant Cardone on the judging panel.

This is the same Grant Cardone who spent years on YouTube and Instagram telling non-accredited investors with a $5,000 minimum that they were “gonna walk away with a 15% annualized return,” that ten years meant “150%,” and that they could “tell the SEC that’s what I said it would be.” Some people call him Nostradamus, he added. The SEC staff, less impressed, sent a 2018 comment letter during the Reg A+ qualification of Cardone Equity Fund V telling him to take those projected returns and monthly-distribution figures *out of the offering circular* because they lacked a basis. He took them out of the docs. Then he kept saying the same number on social media.

That marketing is now a certified federal class action *Pino v. Cardone Capital* covering anyone who bought into Funds V or VI. The Ninth Circuit revived it (most recently June 2025), holding that mass social-media pitches can make the promoter a statutory “seller” under Securities Act §12(a)(2), and that quietly yanking the 15% projection after the SEC letter could be evidence he didn’t believe the number himself. Class certified March 2026. Jury trial set for March 2027. Meanwhile the funds’ own audited filings have shown losses, distribution cuts, layered fees, and a 35% manager promote. A 2023 HuffPost investigation separately alleged a property-markup scheme that padded Cardone at investors’ expense. On top of that he’s now facing additional civil claims from a former CMO who says he cooperated with the FBI and from a former Miss Universe Canada delegate. None of that is a verdict. It is, however, an impressive résumé for the guy Kelly Loeffler just tapped to evaluate “real-world” small-business pitches.

So the SBA’s big Freedom 250 boardroom energy is: Nicki Minaj, the guy who turned short-term rentals into a housing crisis in every city people actually want to live in, Dean Cain reading cue cards, and a private-equity pitchman currently prepping for trial over how he sold “15%” to people who could least afford to be wrong. The prize pool even has a participation trophy so nobody leaves empty-handed — which is the one part of the format Cardone Capital investors might recognize.

If the point of this show is teaching America how not to get taken, they booked the wrong judge. If the point is teaching America how the con *looks* when it’s wearing a suit and shouting 10X, they nailed the casting.
