She's been a wonderful president so far! On November 8, 2016, a large majority of Americans -- or a large majority of those Americans who could be bothered to vote -- made their decision and spoke it from the mountaintops that they wanted Hillary Clinton to be their next president. She beat her opponent Donald Trump by approximately three million votes! It was definitive. Unfortunately, another "definitive" thing is the antiquated Electoral College system, which decided that 70,000 people in three states should have their votes count for WAY MORE than three million people in California and other bastions of Liberal-Land, therefore Donald Trump is the president, and he and his
That being said, universal coverage =/= single payer. There are other systems that have universal coverage that aren't single payer.
Switzerland might be a better way for us to get there. Might not be. Just saying that saying that you're against single payer, doesn't mean you're against universal coverage, as has been asserted by some on the Left.
I can't look at Trump in the Oval Office or at a lectern (something I assiduously try to avoid anyway) without having a heartbreaking vision of Clinton there instead. It just kills me: the disgust with the Twitler versus what could have been, what *should* have been.
good news is no matter how they vote it will leave GOP vulnerable and could lead to overturning many Senate and House seats. better yet, GOP voting NO are going to feel the wrath of Twittler for not supporting him. and even better than that, the Freedum caucus is threatening primarying any GOP who votes YES because it's not odious enough (they want complete repeal, nothing less). plzohplzohplzohplzohplzohplzohplzohplzohplzohplzohplz let Obamacare be the thing that finally rips the GOP asunder; the final nail on the GOP's coffin!
Lifting the premise of Hillarybeattrump.org without attribution is not nice.A guy doing it to the female architect of this alternate State so many of us dwell in is super NOT cool. Apologies expected.
Sometimes I wake up gasping for breath in the middle of the night. I'm haunted by this recurrent nightmare that Trump actually won, and his aggressively unhinged administration gutted the social safety net, destroyed the environment, alienated global allies, deregulated everything, destroyed healthcare and normalized white nationalism.
Then I remember that America came to its senses and that the sanest, most experienced and qualified person won. I remember wearing my white outfit to her inauguration in DC, and being so proud that the first female president was holding her own against a spiteful, racist, misogynist minority who (thankfully) did not manage to take congress either.
Thank goodness that America, the republic of reason, still commands the respect of the world. Sure, Hillary's administration got off to a rocky start, and I already disagree with a few of her environmental decisions, but she's surrounded herself with good, qualified people, and I think we're headed in the right direction.
I love you, Evan, but I can't even think about this.I just can't.(sobs uncontrollably)
Well, he does run an efficient money-laundering business.

Cognitive dissonance, for starters.

Oh my!
There's a certain time for drinking??
😢 Thanks a whole freaking lot, Evan! This just made me relive the election night all over again!
It was gross and blustery and I never left my apartment.
That was a bad trip...

I'm still having flashbacks and the lucid dreams won't stop.
Sorry to say this, but Sessions is more likely to start enforcing DEA Schedule 1 under Federal law. Personally, I think he should resign for perjury.

Oh, wait...
It seems like a double cross to bear.
