Every day when I pass the park devoted to one of the teachers who protected her students and was killed in Sandy Hook by a troubled person who's asshole gun-nut mommy gave him weapons, I tear up. If you're seriously suggesting that Obama isn't still as fucking angry and sad as if it it happened yesterday, may I suggest that you are full of it.

Essentially, yes. The higher crime rates, or at least density of them (Georgia, for instance, has lax regulations and one of the top firearm death/crime rates anyway,) ...well, those rates *tend to result in people getting tired of being shot at and regulating them..*
