Only wanna see you laughing ... What in the hell is wrong with 2016, when it comes to God taking away our greatest icons? TMZ is reporting that Prince has died at age 57: The artist known as Prince has died ... TMZ has learned. He was 57. Prince's body was discovered at his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota early Thursday morning.
Hee. That's kinda what we were talking about earlier kn the forum, though. While Kanye is a bigger tool than a Ron Jeremy appendage, he is a very talented individual. Does one automatically negate the other? I mean Kanye has an ego that could rival Trump's but people often said the same thing about Prince.
One thing i will say about Prince is that not only was he talented, he had a way to bring out the talent i others. This stunning jam session (a tribute to Chaka Khan, whose songs had abeen a big boost to her solo career) is a great example! I saw Davy Jones as the Artful Dodger in the original Broadway production of Oliver! It was my 9th birthday present. When The Monkees hit, my best girlfriend, who had a HUGE crush on him, was so jealous I thought she might plot against me somehow.
Yep, still hella sad about his untimely death. I mean seriously, Bowie and Prince in the same year? Like I'm still not cool with the one, but both in a few months, ugh. And Prince was pretty damn young.
The world needs more super talented, androgynous, musical weirdos in it, not less! Why are the icons of this being picked off, while dreck like Pat Boone and Ted Nugent still alive? grrrr. This is why alcohol is so useful. So I can drown my sorrows, and not curse the unfairness to hard.
From what I've heard about Prince he was kind of all over the place philosophically on every given topic. I have no problem believing he held LGBT-friendly and retrograde fundamentalist beliefs about sexuality and gender at the very same time.
From what I hear, he was a Jehovah's Witness. Membership in either major party would earn him a disfellowship, so... not so much. (How's that book reading going for yourself?)

Thanks so much. I couldn't stand MJ, but James Brown and Prince? Wow. Where was this? Do you know?

I'm really sad. First Bowie, now this (and Lonnie Mack on the same day). OTOH, Prince will never be old and fat. I miss my fellow vegan. Really.
It's gonna be "Raspberry Sorbet" from now on for me...

We only talk about what geniuses (genii?) people are after they die.
The Eastern Orthodox Church objects!
The wrestler.
So this is where Snyder got the climax to Batman v. Superman.
Saw the same thing with the Army, gay soldiers who wanted to stay got kicked, while guys whose time was over were forced by stop-loss to stay.
