”On one hand, Republican officials call themselves ‘warfighters,’” Clinton wrote.
”On the other, they become whiny crybabies at the thought of setting foot in DC streets and New York City subways that literal schoolchildren navigate every day without incident.”
I realized while reading this article that my blood pressure had been down lately, primarily because I tried to minimize the rage-bait news I was reading. Now that I can feel my pulse in my temples, I think I'll go back to reading only the articles that look like wacky fun. See y'all at the inevitable, endless protests.
How come all these big white MAGAsissies are the only ones scared to go to the city and ride the subway? Does Miller know that young children ride the subway to school every day in major cities all over America.
OMG so the way these dipshits will deal with inflation is by withholding data and saying the Democrats are lying. Oh, what a surprise. But they're loyal to Uncle Donny, and that's all that matters. When we're all living on oatmeal, we'll be saying, "Things are great! Hail Trump!"
They can lie all they want it won't matter. I live in an area with a lot of seniors who voted for Trump. I watch people in the supermarket and I'm seeing elderly couples damn near in tears staring at the shelves and each other just shaking their heads and this is just the beginning. I'm tired of having the day these people voted for!
Good thing I just got my new pack of "I did that" Krasnov stickers!
Listen up, bitches...no, wait, I thought I was at work.
New job, monkey work, $20/hr and a lotta slack so we wait a lot. It's fun.
I'm an old IT hand, been doing this forever. Migrations, moves, and upgrades are my poison. I missed the whip so I'm back.
Some rules I learned as a officer candidate:
Keep your fucking mouth shut for the first 90 days;
Ask questions, document responses, and document the unit's existing processes;
Then step in to lead.
The hardest thing for me is to not step in and ask questions that would simplify and standardize processes. So far I've crossed the line on trivial stuff and then the angel on my shoulder said STFU and I did so.
In the team's defense (and they are a damn good outfit, high morale, a lotta teamwork, very hip and friendly) the pitfall is shitty documentation from the morons who did the last refresh. Hand-made data cables, sketchy/ missing/ wrong documentation, planning, and communication issues all play a part. But the mojo is present.
I have walked more since Monday than I have in a long time. I'm thinking two miles/ day, no shit. Martha would tell me this is a Good Thing but the jury is still out on this one.
Got my class E driver's license today so I can drive to move stuff to locations. Works well as my current license expires on the 20th which happens to be my 69th trip around the sun.
Trotsky was murdered by a Mexican Stalinist (ice-axe, raincoat to keep the blood off) on my b-day in 1940. Kinda tells you how I feel about things.
Keep up your good work! Soon you will learn to be a team player. Rocking the boat is easy bailing the boat can be difficult! Was in the backwoods this morning with my LULU (AKA flea bag). Noticed purple asters with white asters mixed alongside. Also the wild CLEMATIS has begun flowering. Shrubbery berries have been ripening for a week now. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE WOODS!
Seems likely to me that businesses have been slow-rolling the impact of tariffs and all the other economic enfuckening because (a) they don’t want to alienate their customers by instantaneous 50% price hikes, and (ii) they figure TACO could swing 180 degrees at any time, so maybe stay the course and it will get better. But they are absolutely not going to suck it up forever, because business is business. I predict that once a few major players (WalMart, Amazon, etc.) start reflecting real-world prices, EVERYONE will jump on the bandwagon. And prices will very quickly skyrocket.
My father is a retired economics professor, so I feel way more qualified than anyone in Assmouth’s orbit to opine on these things.
“... inflation is coursing through the economy, even if it hasn’t been felt by consumers yet,” I don't know why it came up today in conversation, but someone was telling me about the theory that even where tariffs are not relevant to the product the price is going to go up... not so much to cover the extra cost to the retailer, but because people are paying more for some stuff, the retailer will raise the price on all stuff. Which had me wonder about imports that are way outside the tariff regulations... i.e. illegal drugs. Price rises for street drugs is usually credited as some sort of "win"... that enforcement is working, or anti-drug campaigns are succeessful, or whatever... when it may just be basic good ol' fashioned market economics... i.e. greed.
US sellers are eating the tariffs? So in other words, the Big Ugly Trump Tariff Taxes (BUTTT) are a tax on US business profit ! Riddle me that one Batman.
So, businesses are eating the costs of tariffs (for now), presumably because they are afraid of making Daddy Trump angry. American Exceptionalism!
Also, too, these fascists obviously know that everything they say about Demicratic Chocolate Cities and crime rates is a lie. They just can't be happy unless they have their foot on someone's neck.
Most businesses will lick the putrified taint of any Republican politicians, hoping that said politicians can change laws & regulations to their favor. Fucking consumers up the ass, roughly, is not their concern. Until consumers start bleeding from the roughness. Then, maybe, they might be concerned about their profits being negatively affected by said victims of the royal screwing.
Saw a local report about local MAGA getting annoyed with our fine neighbors to the north. It seems that their butts are being chaffed because of the forest fire smoke illegally crossing the border. MAGAs want the trump to tarriff the shit out of that criminal smoke.
Great Powell / Trump presser where Powell points out that T's number for Fed building reno includes costs from a third building.
So now Trump is talking about suing Powell about the cost overrun.
Maybe Powell got a little contractor grease? Or a free coffee?
Arrest coming?

ooooo I would not say they are not being tinkered with.
Imagine how bad the stats REALLY are.....
Polls also show that 7 our out of 10 Americans only check the morning headlines to see if he died overnight.
Sadly, not the case.
I'd say at least 7 out of 10 in the whole world.
Ta, Dok. Off with ALL our heads. AOT, K.

Trump Says He’ll Make His Own Crime Stats to Justify Takeover https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-says-hell-make-his-own-crime-stats-to-justify-takeover/
No more facts will be coming out of Washington.
We haven’t talked enough recently about Trump being a Russian asset.
Or even a kiddy diddler.
Trump is Krasnov, plus the Russian have all sorts of Epstein-related kompromat on him.

But Trump's uncle was a professor at MIT. And his uncle knew the Unabomber. Did your father know the Unabomber?
I didn't think so. Checkmate, libs.
Fuck Ted Cruz.
My father likely got bombed at uni quite often, after like 6 or 7 years as a student and 50 years as a professor. So imma call that a win for me.
And of course Fuck Ted Cruz goes without saying.

Perverts are NEVER happy.
So now we cannot EVER rely on "numbers" from the Trump administration? Not great.
Seek out the Humor: Sir thinks this will "work".
