I bet Putin is Top?

All of this is good to know. There are reporters working at good journalism.

I dumped WaPo and NYT but I keep the Atlantic and Vanity Fair subscriptions. Plus several Substacks I pay for besides this mommyblog... Worth it! I feel like this is the new media force. Now we all need to coordinate talking points like the right has done for so long.

Can't remember where I saw it, but a Ukrainian commented about the USA vote for Trump instead of Kamala, something like 'we put our souls, lives, everything on the line for our country, and all you had to do was fill in a little circle next to her name. And you couldn't even do that.'

Right now I have far more respect for Ukraine. It is one of the reasons i cannot forgive those voters for what they've done, both to us and the whole world. It was like handing a loaded gun to a toddler with the safety off.

Joke’s on Vlad. Trump isn’t a responsible person.

Tramp is Vlad's cum dumpster.

And Putin is saying, "I don;t even know this guy." Big let down for the orange felon. With nothing to lose and covered in Presidential Immunity, Biden ought to ship all the long range missle he can to Ukraine so Zelensky can bring the war home to Moscow.

I need a ruling on North Korean troops, are they:

a) brainwashed humans who deserve our sympathy

b) subhuman

c) brainwashed human but fighting for a dictator so fuck them

d) other

I vote a). They've been cut off from the world their whole lives.

e) Really, really, really into Pr0n

I think it's mostly (A). I mean, how on earth can anyone in NK have any free will at all?

It's one of *the* most repressive nations, if not the most.

No one can really know how much of the propaganda they really believe, but it's safe to say most North Koreans have almost no idea of what the outside world is like.

When (if) they get home from Ukraine they will hold their friends and family spellbound with tales of the luxury accommodations on the front lines.

In a world of equal justice for Republicans ... I mean Trumpublicans ... Logan Act.

Equal justice. Please laugh.

I'd settle for the Logan's Run Act for Trumpublicans.

Timothy Snyder nails it with "Oligarch's Island": https://snyder.substack.com/p/oligarchs-island?utm_source=post-email-title&publication_id=310897&post_id=151527054

Elon Musk stars as Gilligan, Trump as Ginger.

The theme song the first season ended with "...and the rest," with no pictures of The Professor or Mary Ann.

Second season, this stupid show no one thought would last six months had taken off in the ratings. Bob Denver goes to the suits and threatens to walk if they don't add, "...the Professor and Mary Ann," to the song with graphics of them as well.

The "war over in 24 hours" isn't going to happen as Russia is so in on the war at this point that if they suddenly stopped the war then their economy will grind to a halt, the actual costs of the war will start to be known and Vlad will end up "retired" by some cabal of oligarchs and/or the military.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQDCRLJHRTc

When Vlad doesn't give PAB the win he wants then the love fest will fester and he will become a Useless Idiot as far as Russia is concerned.

FElon likewise is going to be quickly relegated to "coffee boy" as narcissists can't stand competition.

I was talking to two Republican voters, both former military, last Wednesday after the election. I said, “Well I guess now America is Putin’s bitch.” The response was, “Putin is just a puppet.” I asked for a source and they clammed up like it was some intelligence secret. The idea is preposterous, but even if it were true, it doesn’t change the situation. It would just mean T has been… cultivating… the wrong guy.

Puppet for who though?

Literally the only possible answer would be some sort of weird oligarchy shadow conspiracy to run the world, and if that were the case it seems like you’d be making a lot more money if your chosen puppet wasn’t destabilizing all of Eastern Europe constantly

or you know, Xi

So we have to wait until 2026 when the Dems, G-dwilling, take back the House for his third impeachment huh?

Expand full comment

Can you imagine what a shitshow this place is going to be in '26 if they get the House, too?

Expand full comment

The Senate won’t impeach him. I’d rather we spend that time and effort more constructively (not sure what that is).

Expand full comment

I would not waste time on impeachment unless we have assurances from 66 or however many necessary Senators to remove him from office.

Expand full comment

Yeah, you’re right. I just like the thought of him collecting impeachments like Pokémon cards regardless of how useless they ultimately are.

I don't think I've heard of him.

I think they meant "responsible person" in a mob way, like, "would be shame if something happen to responsible person".

Trump will never realize it was never about Trump, and it never will be.

Trump is akin to the completely dim child that discovers the candy jar isn't locked. No one opens the candy jar because it is just a civil compact of society that people don't open the candy jar. There are some laws against opening certain candy jars but, generally it is just public ostracizing that keeps most people from opening them

Then one day when dim child was young and impressionable he met a crooked lawyer that taught the dim child the secret to life is when they try to punish you for opening a candy jar quickly open several more and keep opening candy jars as long as you can so they will never be able to punish you opening any one of them.

Then the dim child found he was making friends. They liked him giving them candy too, but lacked the courage to face the social consequences of opening the candy jars themselves. These new friends were like dim child's old, crooked lawyer friend whom he let die along and betrayed (that was fun thought dim child). So, the dim child liked these new friends because they had no morals and eagerly could open cookie jars for him because he didn't have time to open everything although he tried. These new friends found out opening cookie jars while not as bad as candy jars still got them arrested and that made them confused and hurt. But no matter they realized they probably get more candy later if they just never criticized the dim child.

And so it went for years and years, the dim child every day tried to find a new candy jar to open so everyone would get mad at him and notice him and make him think he was alive. Some people regretted that all the candy jars were being opened and nothing could be done about it. Still more people became huge fans of all this candy jar opening and started having fun threatening friends, families, and strangers that they were gonna open their jars too.

So, the world divided into camps of people that liked the world when candy jars were respected and those that delighted in the pain the other camp experienced.

But the funniest thing about all this horror and misery is that anyone anytime could have opened the candy jars, but everyone collectively felt it was worth having a decent society so left the jars unopened.

Then dim child comes along and believes he is the greatest child that ever lived because look at all these candy jars he's opened.

What Trump really doesn't realized and probably never will before he dies, It doesn't matter that it ended up being him. Anyone could have opened the jars anytime . . .
