While I'm definitely on team Elizabeth, I can't help but feel kinda bad for Mary despite the fact that I would have been sent by her and her husband - who she should never have married - to the stake post haste. She apparently was a sweet kid before becoming morbidly conscientious w/r/t Roman Catholicism, and she still seems to be kinda sorta blamed for losing Calais, even though that was pretty much an inevitability before she took the throne.
This interview with the Ga. special grand jury foreperson is fascinating--not least as a window into how someone who doesn't mainline this shit day after day reacts to it.
If God loses his peener, can the religious right continue their financial support and loyalty? God will become partisan, just like our colleges and SATs and everything else are. There must be two of everything. One normal thing, and another weirdly perverted and misshapen thing that makes wingnuts happy.

Read Genesis. There are two versions of creation there that differ in many details. This is one of them.
