UC Berkeley College Republicans (newsflash: they have those!) want to make a serious point about how affirmative action is racist against white males, which they will accomplish by holding a bake sale that is racist against everyone else. Brilliant populism! The backdrop for this is a law proposed by California governor Jerry Brown that would allow state colleges to consider race and gender in applications, which in the reduced terms of a harebrained GOP student bake sale demonstration of "why this is bad" means that white male snack fiends have to pay $2 per cupcake, and everybody else pays a few quarters less for a baked good according to a randomly assigned scale of "this is how much less than a white guy you are worth." Who can refute that kind of mathematical argument?
How about basing it on the percent of your tuition, fees and living expenses that were paid by some other party, like your parents? Merit-based scholarships and student loans not included.
Then you didn't see the Drunken Negro cookie at the now closed down NYC bakery that was produced the day after Obama won the election. No, I won't provide a link to The Villager photo.
This reminds me of a time where I was admiring a bumper on a rusty vehicle that was festooned with rabid right wing stickers. While reading them and chuckling the apparent owner came up to me and asked if the stickers offended me. I said “Not really, is that what you are trying to do?” He replied “Yes.” I responded” Well, I always said, everyone should have a hobby.” He seemed to be puzzled by this and drove off without saying anything else. This bake sale is not so much an attempt to make a point; they just like being offensive.
You have to understand, for a Republican to attend Berkeley, he [no point in "he or she"] has to be obnoxious, or clueless, or (preferably) both.
Another factor in admissions decisions is SAT scores. The College Repubicans should adjust their prices for that too. Higher score = higher price. That would have the added benefit of discounts for their own members.
Oh, that's right.
Here&#039;s the &quot;California Love&quot; second part. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watc..." target="_blank">" rel="nofollow noopener" title="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCDVhDGRWng">http://www.youtube.com/watc...

In other words, an average Republican.
More like a half-baked sale.

Openly admitting that your publicity stunt is inherently racist, in order to deflect criticism that it is racist. Clever!
