I had to spend considerable effort and passion persuading my idealistic 30ish daughter that a vote for anyone but Biden at this point is as good as a vote for Trump. Of course both she and I know her vote is up to her. But I left a heavier than usual "I know you'll give it some thought and do what you feel is right" hanging as we hung up the phone.
She really does want to do the right thing and has since assured me that she is clear on how we all have to vote. But have to admit my heart is broken at her cynical response when I asked how she was feeling about her choice.

I had to be the POS who told his daughter that even if I had proof positive Biden had done what he is accused of, I would still use him to vote against Donald Trump on Nov 3. I asked her to trust that I am who she thinks I am and so probably not saying that just to be a dick. I wanted her to understand that I was unlikely to take such a position unless our actual lives were on the line. I don't know that I convinced her. But she did change her mind.
