Why not College-Debate this bullshit out, stupid-stylee?

Rand Paul has it entirely wrong. The reason Eric Garner is dead is that there are states, like, say, Virginia, or Rand Paul's own Kentucky, where taxation on cigarettes are ridiculously low. that actually allow Eric Garner to purchase his cigarettes, sell them for 50c apiece or even $8 per box, and still make it a fiscally sound entrepreneurial enterprise...

There is a greater benefit to be had by all of society if smoking were reduced in the general population. Studies have been done on the detrimental health effects of secondhand smoke on non-tobacco users. The costs to healthcare systems for smoking-related health issues is astronomical.

Therefore, limiting cigarette usage by any means necessary, including increased taxation, is a far better "promotion of the General Welfare" for government to be doing, than the opposite suggestion of decreased taxes that either you* and Rand "Ewe Baby" Paul promote.

I SAID GOOD DAY, SIR

People also used to live inside hide tents, hunt buffalo, die from mild infections, and probably only had to work 15 or 20 hours a week. Hmm... Maybe they WERE on to something.

Macau and Japanese don't smoke imported American Marlboros all that much, is my guess, boxtop. You've noticed the additives they put in there, yes? Perhaps, this is one reason you make your own hipster boutique handcrafted Etsy designer cigs?

Keep on smoking, it's cool with me. I'm sure your doctor agrees with you. Also congrats on the low BMI. You probably can't jog that Mass very far, without getting winded, but hey, it's a number within the range of Normal! Mine's in the middle yellows. I guess you win! What is your prize? How about some tobacco! Cheers! *clinks two handmade cigarette lighters together*

Me? I'll be sure to spend that extra decade of my life militantly justifying my bad habits to everyone at every opportunity. however, I definitely will not be contemplating how I loved tobacco so much that it made me think Rand Paul was ever right.

Also, too, yes. Please do not get choked out over cigarettes, or any other civil infraction there in the city. Stay safe.

They should be chanting this in the streets today.

Never forget!—that Kentucky is a tobacco-growing* state. High taxes on tobacco reduce consumption. Lower tobacco consumption makes people live longer and die more expensively, which is bad for Medicare and Obamacare.

What a lot of irons Randy has in that fire.... ____________________________ *Note also that someone named "Richie Farmer" is the KY Commissioner of Agriculture

Disorganized speech is a hallmark of schizophrenia. Rand Paul probably should start saving up for some totally unsubsidized antipsychotic meds.

Lung cancer seems quick because it's so hard to detect. Heart disease can be quick, but there can also be transplants, stents (I have 3!), bypasses and other big-buck treatments.

And the nicotine stains on your fingers and the stink on your tweed jacket? They're never going away.

You are right.

The only way the tax code is lethal is if someone drops the printed unabridged version on your head.

Or a senator from Kentucky, where the tax on cigarettes is $.25/pack. Yes, that's right - one quarter.
